he knows jhope can rap he said flow because many idols rappers that dont start underground have a hard time with flow, cadence, etc theres a very technical way to rap and a lot of idol rappers cant do it properly thats why theres always a debate on what idols will actually get accepted by rappers in america. j-hope learned from rm and suga so he surpassed the idol rapper stereotype by practice and used his dancing background to help with flow (this is also why jimin still sounds good when rapping tony montana and chicken noodle soup beckys verse because he also used his dancing knowledge to rap better) most idol rappers were never underground rappers only started rapping when debuting and arent trained in hip hop dance specifically like popping locking break dance etc styles that are typical for underground dancers which is how j-hope is able to understand rapping better than most idol rappers. since he was a underground dancer. this isnt a diss to other idol rappers some can figure it out a bit or over years get better or can flow in simpler flows. but this is why for example jackson said hes not a rapper and was nervous when he had to battle rm. you can debut as a rapper and be taught how but its never gonna be the same as learning through the culture of hip hop which is real rapping and freestyle ability the ability to know speed doesnt = good rapping and you need to flow on the beat. this is why black swan member Fatou explained how bts rappers are really rapping and that speed is not the most important part of rapping. lyrics, flow and cadence are most important then speed etc and most idol rappers dont even write their own lyrics, dont have good flow. most only have cadence. thats not real rapping its kpop rapping. so ben saying jhope can flow means it surprised him hes on a similar level to suga and rm because hes technically a idol rapper as he wasnt underground rapping. hopefully you get what i mean and understand why he said that. hes seen jhope rap in the group songs he reacted to so he knows he can its just different. think of the difference like when a singer sings and you dont feel it because they dont see to connect or show passion while singing cause theres some disconnect with the song and artist. but when a artist sounds so beautiful you get goosebumps because theyre feeling the song and showing their emotions through singing. its like that but for rapping. anyone can "rap" and call themselves a rapper but if you dont feel what youre rapping and if you didnt write what youre rapping you arent on the rapper level regardless of your title regardless of if you have fans etc if people in hip hop dont reconize you as a rapper than youre not.. look at the drake situation for example (obv a lot more deeper why ppl dont think hes a real rapper or a good person etc) "you not a rap artist you a scam artist with hopes of being accepted" a lot of people saw that as cause hes half black half white but it had nothing to do with his skin color/race. it has to do with not being connected to the culture and realistically no korean rapper is part of hip hop until they get some acceptance which bts members have gotten doesnt mean theyre fully there they still have a long way to go but thats based on hip hop scene not getting enough bts/rapline exposure not that bts arent good enough. a good example is when a army and a non army asked a local who loves hip hop to listen to the rappers in both groups. they listened to 3 songs from each rapline and said the other group was posing as rappers while bts are rapper rappers. he could tell they write the raps because of the way they feel when they rap its a full connection vs someone handing you rap lyrics to remember and perform. i dont remember which group it was since it was years ago but i feel like thats what ben was talking about but if not thats how i understood what he said because hes seen jhope rap before in bts songs.

Until a month ago, he didn't even follow j-hope on Insta. Also, I think you read a lot into Ben's statement that he didn't say. I doubt he knows enough about any of their backgrounds to have been making some kind of statement about his surprise at j-hope's skill relative to "idol rappers." And j-hope isn't an idol rapper, btw. Jungkook was. But since j-hope started rapping back in 2010-11, he's been writing his own stuff and coming up with his own flows and drawing inspiration from the old school rappers he grew up listening, too. So he's never been an "idol rapper." Just because he didn't come from the underground rap world doesn't mean he's an "idol rapper."

Yeah jimin is the best dancer, especially in contemporary dances. He really brings that grace in his dance also not to forget agility and lifts he does. But I think jhope is also the best dancer as well maybe bcz he also has hip hop and street dancer like background I guess and his flexibility is best among all of them. I have watched most of their episodes. Please react to Attack on Bangtan/Rise of Bantan from their Japanese Epilouge concert in 2016. It is EPIC!!! Their chaotic and awesome energy is on full display during that performance. It's my ultimate favorite. Also, you'll really enjoy their Yet to Come concert in Busan in 2022. That whole concert is legendary. That is also their first live performance of Run Bts. Everything about that concert is amazing. The rap line did Ugh!, and Cipher part 3. They slayed.
