The dancing in Hope on the Street is incredible…all episodes are now available on Prime and they fly by. Love this song, wish the video featured Hobi and some of the dancing on the show.

j-hope was 10 years old when he began dancing. In middle school, he joined a street dancing crew, Neuron, as its youngest member. In 2008 he won a national dance competition. This song was inspired by those early days in Neuron that solidified his lifelong love of dance and his passion for it as he moved on to become a member of BTS. The group has 2 main dancers: j-hope and Jimin. There is a sub-unit within BTS known as the 3 J’s (j-hope, Jimin and Jung Kook). They have done many special dance performances over the years and they are the 3 that you’ll see the most in the frontline of BTS’ choreography. I’ll note that V was named as part of the official “dance line” in 2018. All of the members are actually great dancers compared with the rest of us out here. j-hope is known for his incredibly positive attitude and his songs often have a message of hope and love for the world. That’s why ARMYs call him “our sunshine”. I really hope you guys continue to jump further down the rabbit hole. This group is amazing and has over 300 songs in their discography; 500+ if you count pre-debut songs, collaborations with other artists and remixes. Borahae💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

54 y/o Mama ARMY. BTS finds us in our own time, as they found me in 2017 when I needed their words of encouragement. I didn't realize that back then, they're the K-pop band that a lot of people hated on them and made fun of for so many reasons to even list here. Despite all of those, they made it big while staying true to their essence and loving ARMY as much as we love them. I finally subbed after watching your BTS playlist. I don't post/reply much but I enjoy reading comments. Welcome to the BTS Rabbit Hole, relax, learn and appreciate what our Boys bring to us. REAL ARMY care and respect each other, so if you happen to see negative comments, ignore them and don't waste your energy thinking about them! REAL ARMY makes BTS proud! I look forward to more reactions from you. One of my fave live & high energy BTS did was their 2019 MAMA Award show. Check that out eventually, and no worries about how long your uploads will get, we're all gonna be here! Thanks for the reaction and for the laughs, too! I purple you both! 💜 🫰💜🎉💜

The whole album goes back to his roots with dance. And neuron is the name.of his underground dance crews name yes. It pays Homage to his roots. He has a documentary called hope on the Street and it goes through alot from his past and the present it's on Prime

That’s awesome. Great that he remembers and respects his roots. Easy in their industry to get caught up with the fame and forget the people that helped you get there. Love attitude of these guys, and the great music. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Six part docu-series started last week. Episodes 1 and 2 on Prime Video now. More to come this week. He is an incredible dancer (and singer). There is no dancing in the video but the docu-series shows him dancing to the songs. J Hope turned 30 in February.

Jhope started dancing when he was 10 actually and when he was a trainee he practiced rapping with rm and suga then developed his own style. He's the dance leader tho he learns the dances faster then the others but he teaches them the dances as well.

You really did some good research beforehand.😊 Props to you for doing that!👍 Also loved your reaction to the video. You might want to check out his album by yourselves if not react to it. All the songs are goooood!😊 The documentary is amazing. It can give you some insights in to how he and BTS in general think and why they are the biggest group of musicians right now. Have a good day!💜

BTS have to serve their full service of 18 months, no amount of money with let them out early. They have to do it just like all able bodied Korean man. JIN will be discharged first on June 12, 2024, then J-Hope will be discharged on October 17, 2024. NEURON is the name of J-Hope's team he joined as a young boy. He started freestyle street dance at age 10, and became very good at it. When he joined Big Hit entertainment, it was his dance that got him signed. He learned to rap from RM and SUGA when he became a trainee. J-Hope is one of the main songwriters for BTS, but RM is the member that has the most KOMCA song credits at over 212 songs credited to him. J-hope is catching up as 147 songs credited. SUGA is somewhere around 168. That's not including producing credits.

I would add to this and say that the last music artist who avoided service in Korea was a Korean American who renounced his Korean citizenship. He was deported and has yet to be allowed back in the country. It has been 22 years. There are limited exemptions available, but K-pop artists are not included in the categories where an exemption can be earned. Only classical artists or athletes who earn gold medals at international events like the Asia games or the Olympics receive exemptions. BTS did benefit from a new law that delayed the requirement from age 28 to age 30, but that's it. Some people are exempted due to injuries or physical disabilities, but most of those still have to do alternative service (social worker, generally). SUGA of BTS is serving in that capacity due to a serious shoulder injury that he suffered as a trainee (his song Amygdala mentions/portrays that - he was hit by a car while working as a food delivery person; he was on a scooter). SUGA actually just began the 3-week boot camp that is a part of alternative service.

@@OT7_DopeOldARMY Thanks for the info. I actually already know all the info. you told me, but it's nice to know another DopeOldARMY that knows these things. BTS never wanted or asked for an exemption. I just hope they come back from the ARMY safe and healthy. We all miss them so much. But I love all the music and content they have been releasing. They spoil us so much. Borahae ARMY. 💜

To my understanding the people in the video are Neuron, the actual crew at the time he was a member. That's why they're all dressed in different professions and walks of life, this is them now since those days. The crew is still active as far as I know. The main kid I think represents the next generation coming up in general because Yoon Mi Rae calls him out by name, Baby T (edit - see comment below!). There's another littler kid with a balloon at one point, I think he represents J-Hope because it's the exact pose from a bday pic of J-Hope's we all know from when he was a little kid. 💜

Baby T was actually a name Yoonmirae called herself. She used the name Tasha for her real name Natasha. She's half Black American & was born in the US.

@@mkdivagirl ohhh! Awesome thanks for the info! I still wonder about that second little kid with the balloon, he looks more like he represents J-Hope to me, maybe they're both J-Hope!🤷🥰💜
