He even sings about how he really can’t help himself in his song Lie, because him losing weight is because he can’t see himself as beautiful due to mental conditions. He even tries to stop the other members from following in his lead because it’s so unhealthy to lose weight like how he’s doing. Healthy dieting and exercise is what will get you to your goals. I think it's partially because people these days want what they don't have. How we view someone is not always how they view themselves. Even though he was not big at all, he still felt bigger than the rest of BTS. He wanted that sexy, slim look and I get it, but not at the expense of his health. A lot of people adore him and I wish Jimin knew that, but it's hard to fight at times when you're battling insecurities within yourself. Whoever said anything about Jimin's look or weight, was part of the reason he felt he needed to lose it to look more pleasing to the eye. He has to self love but I understand it's not easy being in the spotlight. Hopefully he reads a lot of encouraging words his fans have for him and leave the negativity alone but it will take time. My heart goes out to him and you're definitely right about his legs and body :-).

Everyone please know that Jimin did go through so much during these times I'm sure he still feels insecure at times but not like back then. He has stated that he loves himself and everything about himself. He is actually happy and healthy and has encouraged people to not be like him and put yourself through that suffering. This evolution of Park Jimin has so many elements to it that the poster didn't include like: Height growth, maturity, the lack of weight training and body sculpting exercises! Jimin actually loss weight like the other guys during pre-comeback season when their schedules are massively pack with choreography practice! Puberty and becoming an adult alters a person's appearance also! It's true that Jimin went on a crazy diet during the BST era, but he only lost 15 lbs and those were the last 15lbs he wanted to desperately lose and he admitted that that particular diet was a mistake! Jimin is a healthy man finding his own way in this world sometimes he will make a misjudgment or mistake, but that's life and a part of growing up! Now I think the guys have a pretty good handle on how to maintain a good healthy weight and that is a good thing! Jimin is just fine, he's grown ( height ) a little since debut, went through puberty and entered adulthood and he looks good!

And this was the bare minimum of how skinny he really got in 2015 and 2017, theres some pictures and videos where he looks twice as skinny as he does in this one. A lot of time, he wears oversized shirts so you can't see how thin his arms and waist were, if you search up some photos, you will see its even more drastic. Good thing he looks healthier now at least.

I think Jimin should not harm himself to please others, but I do think that he should be able to do as he wishes for his image AS LONG AS ITS HEALTHY. The wings era starvation diet was a mistake, and he recognized that, saying he will never do that again. In burn the stage, he and the others all agreed that starvation diets are bad and should not be done. I'm glad that he likes his body more now and he seems genuinely happier than before, along with having support from the other members.

I read that during his weight loss for the wings album he would starve himself for days and often pass out during dance practices. I had tears in my eyes for several minutes after reading that. I felt so bad for Jimin and hated all the pressure he must have felt. If being skinny makes Jimin happy I will support him. But I hope he doesn’t think he has to be skinny for ARMY to love him. I understand what he is going through cuz losing weight is a painful process. Saying "just do it" is easy, but actions speak louder than words. I’m seeing a lot of people passing over the main issues of this so I’m here to bring them up. As a recovering anorexic, it hurts to see Jimin like this. He is clearly working more on loving himself these days, and even though people can’t see it he really is trying. One thing I want to point out is he’s not lying about eating better. When you lose a huge amount of weight and it gets to the point of looking frail, once you start to gain weight again it can only seem like an internal thing. So for example, when I was discharged after 5 months of being in a clinic, people thought i wasn’t ready because I still looked thin. However, it was because I was much thinner before that my body evenly spread the weight out and made it seem like I wasn’t gaining. This is also what is happening to Jimin, but you can tell he is trying. Eating disorders are extremely dangerous, and again as someone who nearly lost their life to starvation and exercise, I hope everyone can take a second to realise how serious things like this are. Please stop praising him for it, it’s comments like that that have gotten him to this point in the first place. Jiminie if for some reason you come across this, my message to you is thank you. Thank you for speaking out about weight loss and how dangerous it is, thank you for LIE, thank you for everything. Without you, I wouldn’t be here or recovering right now.

TBH, i experienced that too. Like every body i know loved me when i was chubby... Cuz they liked pinching my cheeks and stuff. And then when i became 10, i started being conscious about my figure. Andcthe next year, I started starving myself at school and mom didn't even know about that. Then I started exercising while still starving myself. And when I looked at the mirror, I realized I started getting thin but I wasn't content. I wanted a smaller waist, bigger hips, abs, everything. And when my friends knew, they started getting concerned... Even my parents started worrying about me. Then when I was twelve, it got worse. I got sick for two weeks and I didn't have the will to eat. When I got healed, my family and friends motivated me to eat more. They'd take me out to eat. And I ate more and now I'm good as new. Moral lesson: take care and love yourself

For someone as myself who has battled with weight loss situations no one will ever really understand why but the person themselves, it can be various reasons and not always because we have self love issues.
