I understand your comment about Fake Love. Charlie Puth is good and I am a fan of his, but his contribution to the song was so minimal that he could have been left out. And Fake Love is such a strong song that as a simple version doesn't work for me. The choreo adds so much to the performance that it felt like a little bit of a let down. I love bts to death but this performance wasnt their best. It didnt feel practiced enough and the boys sounded strained and rushed when they sang....despite it being a slower ballad type version. I think they needed more practice with it is all.

@@Renata-hd9zc I don't think so They usually would nail that stuff I think on one side Tae sounded like his nose was closed off and also Jimin didn't sound too healthy But I also think that there were some issues with the mics as Jin is usually hitting those notes really loud and clear and you could barely hear anything I was surprised as I've never seen such a bad vocal performance from them But it can't be perfect every time there were obviously some issues that hindered them in performing to their usual standards

Jose, you are right. Not their best performance for fake love, it's missing its impact. I hope bighit would release the original mix prepared for the Fake Love stage so we can enjoy what they meant to do. They worked hard to include Charlie in the performance but the sound guy at the award show didn't play the right mix so BTS and Charlie were just improvising and sounded some what strained. They still did an amazing job given the situation. MGA owes them an apology for messing up the performance.

I loved the we don’t talk anymore collab - that was really good, despite the short notice and time to prepare. The fake love could have been better. Rap line killed their parts but I felt like vocal line had a few difficulties since they’ve been sick and hurt from their tour. But it could have worked in their advantage if Charlie sang his falsetto a little softer - it could have transitioned into them feeling broken, showing the weakness from a fake love. But what would I know - I don’t arrange music for a living lol

BTS and their production team took back 11 MGA awards that night. It seems like they also recorded their acceptance speech for the 4 PCA awards they got the same night. Other than this performance with Charlie Puth, they also had a performance with a few songs back to back on their own, complete with choreo, So I guess NOT dancing during the Charlie Puth collabo was a good thing, 'cos it gave them a chance to NOT be dancing like crazy at all of their performances that night. There are fancams of them being all sweaty and exhausted after they did their own performance of Save Me, I'm Fine & Idol back to back, that was a 12 min 20 sec performance dancing full on without Charlie Puth. Also, there was some controversy regarding their performance of Fake Love with Charlie Puth, 'cos apparently the wrong version of the song was played and that caused Jimin, V and Charlie to all noticeably struggle with their parts, 'cos they were caught offguard and had to try to be as professional as possible & just roll with it as best they could impromptu. Of course, haters would just say that BTS can't actually sing well in real life, but we all know that's not true, 'cos on the same night, they were spot on singing Save Me, I'm Fine, Idol & We Don't Talk Anymore, so Fake Love was the exception to the rule.

I really appreciate how honest your reactions are, Jose. Jungkook smiled SO MUCH during this performance, and Charlie's heart eyes for Jungkook was just so sweet! I'm very happy Jungkook was able to collaborate with a singer he has admired for so long. I think it would have caused problems if Charlie only collaborated with Jungkook, though. Apparently for Fake Love, the MGA music director / staff didn’t put the prepared music arrangement and backtrack on. Big Hit producer who prepared the new Fake Love music arrangement ranted about it on his ig story. That’s why all of them looked so unprepared, but kudos to them for not making a big deal out of it. i think they tried to make it an “equal” collab where bts covers one of CP’s songs and CP covers one of bts’s songs. I do think he was kinda arbitrary in fake love though... like i wish they did something more interesting during the chorus of maybe all of the vocals members harmonizing and charlie also harmonizing with them, and one of them would take main vocal for one line of the song. meanwhile, the rappers consecutively layer in ad libs and get louder and louder over the singers’ vocal runs, making a crescendo, and then everything falling eerily silent to close off the song. i feel like they probably only had 2 days to rehearse and just did as much as they could in very little prep. in the end, im just glad jungkook is happy haha. cuz i wouldve rather seen a lot of other collabs, but if JK wants CP, then i throw my army bomb up and support
