Typically, Jimin does the acrobatics. It's indicative of their dance styles: hiphop is a very grounded art form, so J-Hope tends to push down into the ground for dance, focusing on a grounded and stable core, whereas contemporary dance likes elongation, length, and height, so lots of flips, turns, tumbles, and jumps. That's one of the things that makes Jimin so special. The dance he studied in school was contemporary and ballet, whose tenets are complete opposites of street dance and hiphop, but he switches back and forth between the styles so effortlessly. It's something that can often be overlooked, but it is as spectacular an ability as some of their more amazing aspects, and there aren't many people capable of mastering both styles.

@@curvytangerine Not sure what you mean by comparisons, I was just pointing out the basic foundations of the different dance styles, not making a comparison. I do not approve of comparisons between the members, I do not have a bias, nor do I approve of ships. J-Hope is also an incredibly talented dancer, he's dance personified, but I think we all already know that (and if we don't, then that's a crying shame). But we all should also know by now there are definite fundamental differences in their dance styles, and that's all I said. Being complimentary towards one in this particular situation doesn't mean I don't feel just as amazed by the other. But I also don't feel the need to do a mantra of compliments for each member any time I want to focus on one of their attributes. We already know they're all equally great, in their own ways, no checklist needed.

Lol this dance practice is one of those practices where they were just having so much fun. If you notice there were a lot of cuts, and V seemed to be holding back his laughter. To this day, we're still not sure what they were laughing about tho RM seemed to be the subject of V's laughter. Armys enjoyed this practice a lot 💜

This is heavily edited version because the boys couldn't control their laughs especially tae. If you notice, from start till the end everyone seem to be on the verge of bursting out laughing. That's why it's the appeal version. We don't know why they were cracking up, to this day. It's one of bangtan's mystery😂😂😂 They also have the normal one-take version dance practice of this like usual. If you watch in order, from their debut mv like from "no more dream" then "we are bullet proof pt.2" and so on, you will know how different this mv was from when they started. It was so refreshing back then to see them go from hip hop warriors and hardcore swagger songs to this sweet lovely guys and chill song. The change was stunning. It showed this another side of bangtan to people 😍😍😍😍

BTS first discography is coined as the School Trilogy... Basically, they talk about things and issues that relate to people in their 10s and early 20s... That's why we have their debut song, No More Dream ( education issues etc), Boy In Luv ( love issues among teenagers ) and they have Danger ( relationships related). It's very appropriate to their age and to the audience of that age. Then they kick-off their The Most Beautiful Moments in Life (HYYH) and the rest is history. They grew up with their music, lyrics and issues. However, every song always has a double, triple meaning with no clear cut one sole meaning/interpretation. We perceived the songs and lyrics on our own and I always find a connection and realness in almost every single one of them (including Cyphers!). Thank you so much for this content! At 3:30 it was Jimin's amazing flip. Jimin is always the one doing some stunts, tumblings, flips in all their choreograhies. He had vast background in different martial arts & studied many types of dance so he is capable of combining all his experiences to their choreographies. 2:40 No, no, no, no you’re getting it quite wrong there. They were never a “traditional KPOP group” (whatever that means). They were always clear about their intentions with their music, since the beginning they’ve talked about important issues, they’ve always said they want to be able to relate to and help young people. I feeling like not a lot of people get it, but they’ve always been telling a story! If you watch their videos since the very beginning (for me the whole “the theories start from I need u” is a complete lie, Bang SiHyuk has been crafting this since the beginning) watch them from oldest to newest you can see the entire story, is quite amazing. This was the “Boy In Luv” era, which was after N.O., it talks about how as much as they care about society they’re still just adolescents with common “problems” like puppy love, right after Just One Day (if I’m correct) they released “Danger” that song is about the girl playing with them, then “War of Hormones” which is about them not controlling their girl drive (? Lmao) right after “I need U” which if you read the lyrics is about the girl leaving but actually the problems become deeper and introspective because the only thing grounding their characters is a girl when they need to figure it out on their own, they need to figure how to love themselves to be loved and TA DA is what brings us to the present. The Map of the Soul era is going even deeper, it really is all about what goes on inside your head. This is so creative and so gorgeously crafted that I always thought BTS would end after the Love Yourself era, I always thought this was just a big *ss social experiment that the CEO wanted to make to be mf honest lmao

On the topic of stories: I wondered into a book store some time ago and saw "Kafka on the Shore", and bought it just because it was mentioned in "Butterfly". I had no idea that it was significant for the whole story because from ARMY comments it seemed to me that BTS only dove into literature later with "Demian". So I was struck by realisation that they started doing all this crossing with literature much earlier. But when I was first trying to understand the storyline from "I need you", nobody in the comments recommended to read this book. It feels like there's a very little awareness about striking parallels between it and BTS' stories.

Ka tie I literally thought I was the only person who thought that the storyline runs through everything. Everyone always says it started with I Need U but I always picked up some subtle bits in all their videos it’s like a life story at first almost like an intro of getting to know them & watching them grow & mature slowly. Then the whole time thing comes into play but there are always tiny things I noticed in the videos that most people say are not storyline related that have a connection as well. Even Dope like the costumes they wear are kind of ironic compared to their characters roles in the BU. NamJoon is like a bell hop or doorman (a service worker) & then a gas station attendant both professions are usually treated with inferiority by higher class. Jin a doctor someone who is always trying to save others. Hobi a race-car driver who are usually addicted to adrenaline & later he has the opposite always seems to be sleeping (narcolepsy). Tae is as a detective but later (don’t want to spoil it). They all relate either similar or opposite of the characters roles.

I think it makes sense though, especially after the webtoon, because they all started in school and got to know each other and become close friends there before Jin moves away and the storyline takes a darker turn.

Yeah, for kicking it old school. It’s been amazing to see them grow as artists and writers. I always feel like with every album they grew in life and showed it through their lyrics. One of my favorite things about these guys is that they got so popular on the backs of young girls and they saw that as special and a responsibility. They in return sing them songs about how they should love themselves. Which as a mother of one of the kids I appreciate. They have a fun song called “21st century girls” it’s got a crazy beat drop and the lyrics are certainly something that you would want you’re young girls to hear. 💜 And how did bighit manage to find 7 guys with such charisma? You gotta remember that BTS was NEVER the typical boy band 😂😂 during this time (while they were trying to become more “appealing to the public”) 2013-2014 was still heavy Hip Hop BTS. If you like this song, then you'd also like "For You" (there are two version, mv and dance ver). Btw, I'm not sure whether you've already known this, but BTS actually has got concept of transmedia storytelling. So, since their debut they already drew storylines for their universe a.k.a BU (BTS Universe; it's like Marvel Universe or Starwars Universe). Army's homeworks are to find out every hint they put in the music videos, short films (wings era), even in webtoon (title: save me), a book (title: The Notes), and even their official merchandises. If you wanna catch up, you can search Army's explanations, usually called 'BTS theory/theories'. I myself am a new Army and trying to understand one by one. Eversince they started, they worked on album concepts - School trilogy, HYYH, Wings, and then the Love Yourself era. Their songs are reflective of their concept plus what/ how they feel too.. Appeal version is usually their practices for fanmeets or another example of appeal version are the halloween version dance practices. It's pretty light compared with their mv or concert/stage practices.

Whenever there's a "version" of their dance practice (appeal version for this one) it's always something else other than a straight & serious dance practice where they do the choreography straight forward without any mistakes. In this "appeal" version, they were definitely having fun & trying not to mess up the choreography & break into laughter especially V. It's like shooting a scene for a movie where they do the same scene over & over trying to get the best shot. That's BTS trying to hold in their laughter so they can get a decent dance practice video. As what BTS always says, we do love all the members equally, but for me there's something special about Jimin. When I just started to get to know them, Tae and Jin really caught my eye. However, Jimin swooped me in because of his sweet, caring personality and also he showed me that hard work really pays off. Hence he's my bias. I hope you guys can get into more Jimin / vocal line videos as well since you've done a lot of rap line videos! In most (and early) BTS MVs and songs, Jimin does all the tumblings and both Jimin and JK does all the high and long notes. Fun Fact about the dance practice: the reason why it was cut was all because of V. After what RM says in the beginning of the music video v could not stop laughing so every time he would cover his mouth it was to prevent him from laughing but it did so he would laugh and then it would make everyone laugh as well. The cut count: i think i counted 10 but you could go back to make sure

This track is from their 2nd EP "Skool Luv Affair", written and produced by RM, Suga, J-Hope and their producer Pdogg. Skool Luv Affair is the 3rd part of their School trilogy. (The first singles album is "2 Cool 4 Skool", next is 1st EP, "O!RUL82?" ) and it carries the title track Boy In Luv. Given their age when they debuted, most of their songs in the trilogy talks about their experiences and struggles as youth, including their take on some social issues involving their generation, not just love.

This isn't really them being like the traditional kpop group. This song fits in their album concept at this time of school luv affair, things young boys go through and one of them being in love...and they are so sweeeeeeeeeeeet and the dance vid is them just having fun and goofing around that's why V keeps on laughing

Yes, they have different versions of Dance practice for example the halloween versions of some songs. I recommend War of Hormone dance practice (real WAR ver.) is one one my favorites, so funny and hilarious 😂 after you can watch things that you didn't notice in that dance practice

Actually BTS had a highschool concept for their first 3 albums, that is why the pervading theme was about school (studying and rebelling) and highschool love. Then for the HYYH era it was youth, like personal triumphs and difficulties and dealing with it. The WINGS era delved into becoming adults and overcoming sins/temptation. Then you have Love Yourself, which you know. The progression of music and genres are based off these themes.

The Appeal Version is actually a different version of the dance practice video, but the song remains the same. It just means that they were kinda fooling around with the usual dance practice to make it more APPEALING to ARMYs watching it... haha! Trust BTS to always have fun, even while they're hard at work.

My favorite part of the dance practice is that RM makes Taehyung laugh at the beginning and he just cant control it and has to cover his face and spends the rest of the song trying not to laugh.

the funny thing is... when someone or somebody reacts to bts old songs im always looking forward if they could recognized which is which.. coz most of the have just known bts and they havent watched or seen them in their debut or earlier years... although the boys still looks the same as before, there is still this slight difference of their aura, style or appearance maybe because they are much older now compared to the past... 🙂
