i just got in a huge fight w my best friend. and honestly she was my first love. i didnt love her romantically but it was such a strong platonic love that i was willing to do anything for her. i changed myself for her but unfortunately she started doing bad stuff and when i decloned and said i could do it cause i wasnt willing to compromise my character, the blocked me on everythjng and hasnt spoken to me since. this song is rlly helping me allow myself to not feel obligated to save people from their mistakes and instead let them fall and scrape.their knees so they can learn. now ive learned to let go. and eventually when we have both matured maybe we can reopen our beautiful friendship💜

They were thinking of taking a break when they wrote this. The pandemic came and changed all that. Dynamite, Butter, Life Goes On and Permission to Dance came into fruition. They decided not to “take a break” during the pandemic because so many people were going through hard times and depression. They decided to lift up army hearts instead with happy and hopeful songs. They stayed together. It was a difficult time for everyone, and I guess they needed each other too. They kept working tirelessly. They held concerts. And now in 2022 here we are… “they’re ready to let go…” FOR NOW. We still have RUN BTS at least. And streaming of PTD LA concert in Disney+.

Honestly thank you so much for making this. All the other lyric translations of this song (at least the ones I watched) are filled with typos or grammatical errors-or their translations don't make any sense. And that annoys the heck out of me because I wanted to like this song a long time ago, but I could never fully grasp the meaning of it, so I thought it wasn't that good. But reading this proper translation, the lyrics resonated with me in a very personal place and tore my heart in two. I'm still crying while writing this. I should never have doubted BTS 😆

This song has so much meaning to me right now, going through the hardest breakup of my life, one I thought could never happen. He was and is my first love, I proposed to him and all of sudden its changed. He couldn't accept my imperfection or forgive me. Even after all the times I've accepted his flaws and forgiven him. His family hates me and have taken him away from me, making him block me on everything, no apology is enough 💔 He has handled this immaturely, this sudden disappearance has broken me. Because I was thought we were getting back on track, but his feelings changed for me within a week... It is hurtful to know he is fine and happy when I am left in pieces from how he's handled this, he hasn't even come to talk to me or bothered to say goodbye to my family who are all heartbroken too... It shows me the immaturity in him, that he won't even come talk to me face to face about this decision. Rant over, this song is helping me through this feeling of betrayal and how he has handled his "sudden change of heart" towards me even though I heavily think his family is behind this... 💔😔
