OK let's talk about RM's bilingual wordplay in this song. The lyric videos don't convey it. "Na-neun uk-hae" does not translate to "I go ugh". It literally means "I'm cold". It's slang, sort of like we say "that left me cold" when we are not impressed by something. It's more like "that bugs me" to Korean people. It also sounds like "ugh" or 'oof", which is what we sometimes say when we are bugged by something. Another example of how Nam Joon is a genius.

There’s so many meanings to the song “Louder than bomb”. There’s many suicidal in Korea due to bullies. This song literally tell you to speak up and fight. Your “Voice” is louder than the bomb. No matter what kind of problems you are confronting, use your Voice to fight back and never give up.

Ugh was their anger towards the online hate, malicious commentors and people that burst their frustation out the jealousy, dislikes, their success on them. As said in the song we'll get anger and it's fine it's human emotion but not keeping it to them, how one's jealousy, frustation, hate can mentally affects(which BTS already experienced) and can curse& ruin their lives. That's why the song has aggressive tone.

This is from Spotify for Louder than Bombs: “Louder than Bombs” tells the story of how sadness and fear grow as one encounters stories of pain around the world. The message that “we will continue to listen to your story and will never stop singing so speak yourself” intensifies with the song’s brisk yet grand atmosphere. So yeah it’s a song to comfort your pain, whatever hardship you’re going through

the "ahem" part of UGH is them mocking what people say to them. "ahem" being used as a sound someone makes when they feel superior to you. the genius of UGH is yea they're just grunting UGH and ahem but at the same time it has a lot of meaning culturally and socially- like all other rap line songs.

what I got from Louder Than Bombs is that BTS have been fighting and using their voices/platform to bring about awareness to the world even thou they faced bashes and criticisms "if it's not us, who's going to do it?" and they "picked this game" as in they are accepting their destiny as being BTS. Even as famous as they are, they still have pain, and many ppl think that BTS's pain is just for attention since they are so famous how can they have real pain "the pain I have it's called hypocrisy"... But even thou these harsh pain that BTS is facing are "louder than bombs" (they are comparing their pain to bombs explosion and they will sing louder than bombs for the world to hear), they will still continue to sing and fight for us no matter how many waves come at them.

Louder Than Bombs is my favorite track on this record. It goes somewhere I really wasn't expecting when it opened with the chill finger snaps...Namjoon said he cried while writing this song, Black Swan and The Eternal. Don't think it's political. Rather, I think it's a sad conversation with their shadows...there's recognition and, at the end, a tender kind of reconciliation/embrace. It's a pivot point of self acceptance. Painful and heartbreaking and beautiful. But that's just me.

I don't know how others interpret the lyrics of LOUDER THAN BOMBS, to me it may sound sexy but the lyrics are heartbreaking. • "The strange shadow within those cheers" > is like they know there's hate as much as there's cheers. •"In my quiet sea, waves rise from time to time." > Shit happens that's out of their control • "Your silent sorrow shakes me." , "The pains pour down, the face you made since the time I learned that it is what it meant." > I don't know what this exactly meant, but to me as if they're saying they're afraid of our disappointed look. We usually look at them with smile and full of love, so the moment we gave strange different look, it's scary. They often say that one of the thing they're scared the most is disappointing the fans. "The times when I looked away from you, the days when I kept running away -- they will no longer exist." > Reminds me of their MAMA 2018 Artist of the Year speech. But this time they're saying those moments and feelings won't happen anymore. • "They say the pains I have are hypocrisy." > Remember when kpop fans said they're emotionally manipulating us faking their pains by mentioning their disbandment thoughts. and their underdog story. • "No matter what I do, I roll in dirt." > Whatever they do it's gonna be wrong to the eyes of other people. This song has really vague message. So, I guess the interpretation depends on every person. But regardless, it's so heartbreaking.

I dont know why but Louder Than Bombs, J Hope's & Suga's part gave me the same vibe as the song Red Nose by Tech N9ne. Just an eerie vibe but yet so beautiful.

Danny and David explained "Ahem" as a term for stuffed shirt authority. It's older generation people that are stuck in old ways. "Ahem" is the the sound a person makes when they clear their throats.

Yeah Louder than Bombs has that eerie quality, it sounds hauntingly beautiful. But what I probably love most about it is the way the vocal lines harmonizing sounds like waves crashing shore, sighing endlessly again and again between the rappers emotional verses...genius (Ugh too is so good) Can't wait for you to hear rest of the songs

This album is really a masterpiece. I'm glad to see you're reacting to all the songs. Most of them won't be mv's right away... maybe later? But most of them will be on stage at the concerts. I won't be able to go to a concert but I'm very hopeful that at least one of them will be live streamed again. The opening concerts in Seoul have been cancelled because of the (covid/sp?) virus. The stadium has been closed until further notice so they don't even have a 'postponed until' date yet. I hope the same thing doesn't happen here. Your reactions are excellent. Thanks again.

correction: To be postponed because of coronavirus is Album Release Event. But Big Hit has never announced to postpone or cancel the Seoul Opening Stadium Concert until now.

In my opinion this song is not political, it is mostly about their profession. BTS's albums are journeys, and I enjoy them the most when trying to understand the structure and relationship between the songs. Louder than Bombs is the 10th song (in the middle of the album), and I believe it's the turning point from the first half (mainly about wandering), and the second half (mainly about acceptance). At first the lyrics talk about diving into the shadows they experience along their career : they wanted to be "just" bulletproof (protect teens from prejudices and expectations) but they became even louder than bombs (big audience and big impact in people's lifes), which is so much pressure and efforts that it hurts them. The vibe switches in the middle of the song when J-Hope says something like "darkness is everywhere, don't be afraid". Then it is mostly about carrying on (and inviting ARMY to do the same) even within this shadow. Jimin's "we picked this game" means that they are the ones who choosed this profession and this bulletproof image, and they want to recall that they were ready from the beginning to face both the dark and bright sides of it. (By the way, this is just my own interpretation so it could be completely off !)

In my opinion, Louder Than Bombs tells about how hard n painful their struggles as artists, but somehow they have picked the game (to be BTS) and they promise to keep singing for us no matter what (Louder than bombs I sing, they say). This song makes me cry like a baby. It shows how much they love us 😭

I always have a good time to listen too your reaction. I am very tired by people’s writing about that he and he write this song! The most song are a work of several people’s. Louder than bombs: written by RM, Suga, J-Hope and more. On : J-Hope, RM, Suga and more. Ugh: Suga, RM, J-Hope and more. Respect: Suga, RM and more. We are bulletproof, the eternal: RM, Suga, J-Hope and more. On, digital bonus track: J-Hope, RM and Suga. I have only tell you about this song and the writers here. And all this and more, you can read in Wikipedia, Map of the soul:7. I like all of them ( Suga little more) and think they are doing so much. And remember that all the rappers are doing their own lyrics in all songs with rap parts. And on that, they have to train the different dance moves also. Because of that’s there are a hole stabs by people’s too help them. There are a limit to what they can do.... all of them unique, and together they are BTS..👍👍👍🥰
