Yes they are. The song is manly based around the idea of how people see him as Suga and not Min Yoongi which translates as people not seeing them who they really are and are reminding people they are humans.

Its his shadow. When Yoongi raps the last lil bit it’s his shadow rapping. His tone gets more aggressive like a monster that he compares his shadow to earlier in the song. Also the shadow says how they are the same and therefore Yoongi can’t resist his shadow/dark side. “You are me, i am you, now do you know” 9:30 this his answer to RM’s part in Persona:”Who the hell am i” Also the “don’t let me fly” applies to that to;”i just wanna go i just wanna fly” its actually saying that he flied and he’s scared now. AlsO the song is about what he wanted to be and reach, now he reached that he is scared. He didn’t how it was like. Its lonely up there. Another AlsO If you look good at mv scenes, you can see that at the beginning thats its a hotel with 7 doors. 1 door and 1 hotel room for each bts member, including his. You see people standing infront of the door, this reminds me of their sasaengs. Multiple times sasaengs tried to enter their hotel room or just be near them. Than you have the scene in the same room, Suga is going backwards and the doors are closing. He goes past those to protect the members and check on them. Also the people in black following him reminds me of Fire, it reminds me of the intro; Suga shaking hands with someone exactly clothed in black like that. Thats describing at least for me that he officially had fans or sasaengs. But i don’t know if thats in a positive or negative way. Its also reminds me of Mic drop, The intro of Micdrop you see the same person again, but more. These persons are Fans jamming to their songs, liking it but also hating THEM; the members. After you can see that the same people are throwing something with smoke, i don’t what that exactly is. But they did. When i saw that i thought it was the members themselves, but it isn’t. If you look closely at their MV’s everything will be making sense. Especially Mic drop, Fake love, Persona. Their other music too; skool luv affair, tear. And a album titled: Oh Are You Late? Thats why you see that multiple times in the mv. What means, i don’t know. But it’s definitely similar to the intro RM did for Oh Are You Late? Especially with the mic and shatters of glass. In Fake love you see Hobi desperately getting hold of the door, because someone is trying to get in. Which you see in the mv again, but with suga. And the running through the hallway also reminds me of Jungkook doing that kn fake love. This is all what I’m thinking right now, and i think there is much more.

Ok so the last part was his shadow part of himself. When you read the lyrics carefully you notice how he, at the end, refers at "we" so he means the "suga" the one in the light and at the top (on the stage) and "min yoongi" at the bottom as a dark shadow. I think he criticises how he is just seen as suga and nobody see him as min yoongi anymore, also all the other people before like at the rooms could be sasaengs. Its creepy to see it that way. How sasaengs try to touch suga. But this song is truly a masterpiece

*Here's another explanation :* Broken glass means DISSOCIATION in psychology. It happens when we split our inner self and parts of it are hidden. Our ego is rejecting them or simply doesn't know that they exist. Same with our SHADOW. In fact, the more you reject your shadow, the more dangerous it gets. Plus, without integrating your shadow, you can't finish your individuation process. Yoongi's message is: ACCEPT YOUR SHADOW. The people in dark clothes taking pictures of Yoongi are the representation of his social anxiety. His social anxiety disorder happens because of the "trickster" (he mentions it back in Danger) which is created after trauma during dissociation (broken glass). He can heal his disorder only facing what's inside of him - which is both his trickster and shadow. So the hoodied people who are causing him social anxiety are actually WITHIN HIMSELF. That means, that not the people that he meets outside are causing him social anxiety, but actually HE HIMSELF is causing it. Well, Bighit has a co-CEO Lenzo Yoon who specializes in gaming so the visual effects are going to be a whole other level. They've done that with their rookie group txt's MVs a lot. And they already did that with Persona as well. I'm excited for the album. I can feel it's going to be darker or contradicting this time in comparison to persona.
