This is probably one of my top five favorite BTS songs. This song is for their fans... about realising that many of their fans have pain and struggles and look to BTS for comfort and hope, which can be difficult because they have pain and struggles as well. But ultimately they promise they won't look away from our suffering, they won't ignore it, and they will always sing for us.

you're gonna make me cry. this song is the first song I listened to after withdrawing from addictive substances. I hadn't felt anything but pain, misery, defeat and exhaustion for weeks detoxing. eventually I managed to shut off my emotions and go numb. this lasted for weeks while I was in recovery. the very first time I drove my car after getting out of all that, I put on this song. it was the first song I had listened to since starting my recovery, and the first emotion I had felt in forever. it felt like someone was choking me. I was able to cry for the first time in weeks. I felt like a person again, finally. knowing that's what the songs message is just adds to how this song has effected me. thank you for the information!

You're basically right about the song's meaning, and to add to that, Namjoon (RM) explained in his broadcast that he also inspired by fan letters and posts he saw on social media. I quote this from Aminoapps website because I think it explains the lyrics saying 'From the moment I knew that the expression you had wasn't the expression (solely happiness)': "relating to ARMYs letters, comments and posts in social media who expressed themselves when feeling down and seeking comfort and being grateful to Bangtan as they became a huge role to motivate strength, acceptance and love. He imagined that during concert tours, fans share the fun with them but he realized that beyond those faces are fragile lives who have different stories to tell and fans count on their songs and presence."

Also about the last part : Bts , specially suga got critics cuz that they were using mental health on their songs to get money , so they were hypocrites cuz of that and they got successful, so suga said ( in A LOT of interviews ) that if they don't talk about these issues who will be ? , which is what he refers later. This song it's about how bts struggles cuz people ( haters ) tried so hard to silent them with critics and making rumors and accusations , to make their fans hate them , but they say they will sing louder than bombs to get their fans heard their voices , it's doesn't matter the struggles they get ( cuz they love perform ). This song it's to show one of bts struggles or "shadows " ( fears ) and how they accept it.

Yes, your interpretation is right. But, the song is not only saying "BTS are human beings, we also feel pain, and that pain is valid"... This song is also about other people's pain... In the chorus, they are saying "we realize that many people in the crowds of our concerts, many BTS fans, have found comfort in our music because they are struggling, they may feel joy at our concerts, but on their daily lives, they often hide their suffering behind fake smiles... We see you, and your struggles/negative feelings are all valid...". In other words, at it's core, Louder than Bombs is a song about how we are connected through empathy, because all humans have their own open wounds and scars. BTS & ARMY acknowledge each other feelings, the good ones, and the bad ones; the good memories and the bad memories. Not looking away, even if it's uncomfortable. Having those conversations and listening, even if it's difficult. Empathy. Compassion. Understanding. That's what the song is about. The fan made video was great, but maybe they should have included a little footage of ARMYs crying in the audience whenever BTS sing Epiphany, or when they get emotional during their speeches... That would have been fitting too.

BTS’s music is just powerful. And yes you need to study their lyrics every time. Their lyrics are just a whole other level. Not just another level. It’s leaps and bounds beyond and above any pop songs. It’s straight out educational at a tertiary level! Their album “map of the soul:7” and “map of the soul: persona”. They translated Carl Jung’s psychological theory into music and brought about an entirely new level of self-awareness and understanding of the human psyche. The contribution of their work to this world!🤯 (Just thought of suga’s solo Interlude: Shadow🤯🤯) They’re not just artists. They’re beyond that. They’re incredible human beings who are changing the world for the better. The words “great artists” can’t even describe their greatness and depth.

Yes I studied psychology so BTS songs always connect with my area of expertise. It's what for me sets their lyric's apart from the boring uninteresting lyric's that other pump out. BTS lyrics have real meaning talking about real issues and they do it with style, grace, intelligence and humbleness. They also sing and rap like the best and their dancing is bloody wonderful.

Yes, you're absolutely correct in your interpretation of what they meant by ppl saying their admission of struggles being hypocrisy.... In another song ("UGH!" by just the rapline) Suga elaborates on this in a lyric where he mimics what their haters say when BTS claps back at malicious comments, something along the lines of, "You're rich, what are you complaining about? You deserve it because you're a celebrity. If I were in your shoes I'd be able to take all the hate because I'd have money"....(as if money makes a person impervious to having feelings, which is utter tripe)

This was fan made mv and it's great fanmade because it's actually kinda connected in the song, also there aren't a live performance for louder than bombs yet, I wish there would be in the future. I would recommend Blue&Grey, that's their newest song from BE album but I would highly recommend you to listen to whole BE album songs. They release BE album in the middle of pandemic because they want to share what they're going through and they also want to give hope. They really fully participate in making the songs for this album. If you would listen to BE album, I would recommend to read the english translation too because all of the songs are great. Louder than Bomb was produced by Bram Inscore, not Troye Sivan. The song was originally written by Troye Sivan a long time ago but it ended up on the shelf until it was picked up by BTS. (Troye himself made this explanation in a video)

This song is off their album Map of the Soul: 7. They were set to go on world stadium tour early 2020. We'll never see everything they prepared for those concerts. ARMY is still clutching onto their tickets for the future tour. hehe (8/20 update: officially cancelled. ticket refunds. sad forever.) BE, their next album, was an unplanned product of life shutting down and everyone being stuck because of the pandemic. You might enjoy checking it out. Life Goes On is basically an anthem for the last 18 months.

The title has a double meaning: on the surface it is just a descriptive of the volume of their human suffering. The second meaning refers to the lightsticks the fans are holding at the concert; they are called Bombs so BTS is saying that sometimes their experiences weigh down on them in a way not even the fans love can support.

6:38 honestly I’d love to know that they have to go through that only. During their concerts they dance and sing and I can only imagine how exhausting that must be, they have to use oxygen tanks to breath properly and many times almost fainted because they were at their limit. Saw that “your eyes tell” by bts was recommended to you… it’s more of a ballad that jungkook who is their youngest member and main vocalist which in kpop means he’s their best vocalist all around… all the vocalists and rappers are amazing and have their forte which they do the best and there are no bad members… but main vocalist is more than most lines and has so much that he does on stage and recording and it’s cool to see… anyway he wrote and composed this song for a Japanese movie for the credits at the end.. but they loved it so much that they used it as the theme song. The movie is about a blind woman falling in love with an ex con and they lyrics are extremely poetic. All the members sing on this one and he distributed the lines pretty evenly and really chose parts for each member that highlight their strengths and he doesn’t take a main part in the song at all… but it’s just gorgeous and they really came through for him and made it something special!!! The live is better than the studio and the vocal line shines but the slow rap there for that different deeper toned layer to balance it out. Should check it out ! God, what I wouldn't do for a live version of this song. BTS have upwards of 300 songs in their catalog and this is my favorite of all time. The fan-made video you chose is absolutely beautiful, though, because it totally fits the message of the song. It gives a great look at what they go through behind the scenes and how hard they work while still putting up a professional face and putting their best foot forward while performing. You were dead on with your interpretation of Yoongi's verse and how people think they can't possibly go through hard times because of their success. It's a sad reality of celebrity culture, unfortunately, but BTS have never shied away from addressing their mental health struggles and the immense amount of hatred they've received over the course of their career. They've never pretended like their lives and their careers have always been perfect and fun and happy because that's just not the reality. I think you'd enjoy their song Black Swan, which they wrote specifically about fearing that they're losing their passion for their music. It's based on the quote that says, "A dancer dies twice; once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful". The MV is stunning, and one of their best in my opinion. I really, really hope you continue deep-diving into BTS and their discography, because they have some of the best music I've genuinely ever heard, both sonically and lyrically, as well as being top-tier performers and just all around wonderful people with wonderful personalities.

New sub from South Africa 🇿🇦🙏💜 Louder Than Bombs is one of my favourite BTS songs- there is no live version as it is from MOTS7, which came out early 2020, and their tour for 2020 was cancelled because of Covid - their live performances since then have all been filmed live and then broadcast or else live streamed, and time has been limited, so the set list has never included this incredible song. if you only knew what kind of shit bts had to go through before they even got to this amount of success :(( even their debut performance back in 2013 was just a substitute performance for a more famous artist who couldn't go to the show. they weren't even considered to be in the original lineup. so if that certain artist went to the show, bts wouldn't have been able to debut at all :((

I would love to see you react to their live performances during a concert, their stage presence is untouchable.
