If I remember correctly, Mic Drop was supposed to be a clap back to the haters, but then they discussed it and they concluded that they just weren't mad anymore. This is why after the 4 cyphers the rappers did which ended in 2016, all the "diss" tracks are quite fun and not angry or vile (except for of course, Suga's solo stuff under Agust D xD this guy holds grudges), it is more focused on acknowledging their success - Mic Drop and Ddaeng fall into this category Edit: Watch the dance practice for Mic Drop! Oh, that would be awesome, there is a dance break they perform in their awards performance. Sorry to hear about your injury, but you really did great doing the dance in the end 😊

The ones who walk away from omelas was assigned to be read in class in my first college poetry class. I can still remember the chill that went through my body as I surfaced from that story, and looked around me. I can clearly picture that classroom. How the dim light seemed so bright in that moment. I watched Snowpiercer before I heard Spring Day so when RM referenced it I understood why to a certain extent and then I understood the imagery in regard to being on a train and leaving the train because spring was coming... but I had not read Omelas so that connection was not made. I certainly did not get the connection to Sewol but after watching both explanation videos ... 😢. Yeah, so I understand why such an amazing bop, with the whole hook and 99.9% of RM's rap in English making it easier for me to sing and (ahem😉) dance to it at the same time... and hum and mispronounce the rest to the matching cadence ..., was suggested as the next reaction. The truth untold is very impressive as it is about a very emotional story, seriously vocals and lyricism is untucheable for that song, i would also check out On Knetic Manifesto, the choreography is amazing and it actually won a VMA. the lyrics here contain a lot of Korean slang, so the captions may be a little confusing. Chewing someone up is like 'dissing' them, for example. But I'm sure you get the general idea. The thing that charms me the most is how they incorporated food into their lyrics. Like "underdone steak" for immature rappers.

MIC DROP IS SUCH A GOOD SONG GDJSAHAJ btw this was one of my first comebacks iconic. I totally recommend that every time you hear a song from them, you also watch a live performance! When you watch it again pay attention to the burned and smoking vehicles in the distance. The school bus from no more dreams is in the far distance . Also the pick up truck that Jin drives in alot of the videos is next in line. The car from fire is also represented. Not many people have noticed these little details.

Now that you've seen the Mic Drop MV, you should check out a live performance with the dance break. After that, you might want to check out another side of the boys: TinyTan. It's animated chibi BTS. Chibi is a Japanese anime term, if you didn't know. TinyTan has a video called "Magic Door" where the chibis are dressed in their Mic Drop outfits, so that it's easier to tell who is supposed to be who. It's absolutely adorable, too.

Such a fun song and def a nice turn away from how vastly different that everything they do is. It will be cool when you get into the Map Of the Soul content which is based on psychological concepts brought about by the father of analytical psychology, Carl jung. They dove deep into concepts and different ideas that give good examples of how they have felt through their journey but in a way that’s palatable for any age …. I’m pumped for you to really get into this and that stuff for sure. Maybe you can do a music video and a dance practice in some to be able to see the full choreo for these songs… you’re gonna love that. At the start when the "men in black=unnamed people" disappear all their mics are actually directed towards the table like a press conference. Then they throw bombs at/shade on them, like they try to hurt them. However when the(ir?) cars explode, in the background they are falling from the sky/their high horse while burning up. The guys then said goodbye to them, leaving only wrecks in their wake. At the end their mics fall to the ground/they are silenced because the guys proved them all wrong, rose above it and basically told them to stuff it, hence Suga dropped the mic where they used to be. And I love the sass! 💜😁👍💜

Literally their final farewell to their haters as they move on. Now they write songs like Ugh where they basically say, listen, we don't care about the hate directed at us anymore... we're used to stepping on shit. But we are going to write an entire song that is a social commentary about how haters are devaluing the power of anger that could and should be used for more productive causes. Lol.

Oh man, if you love all the behind the story and researching, just wait till you get to Map of the Soul album. It’s based off of the psychology of Carl Jung and it focuses on the id and ego. Each single, Persona, Shadow, Ego are all about different parts of yourself and personality. All the theory videos and information behind it is so interesting.
