This song was written, composed and worked in his JUNGKOOK production, it was a song that was going to be included in his Mixtape. The director of the film asked BTS to compose a song for the film and when they read the script they concluded that the song that JUNGKOOK had reserved as one of the ones that would be on that mixtape was the one to tell the story of the film. They rewrote the song in Japanese and decided how to deliver their lines. They have said this in an interview in the Japanese programs to which they have appeared to interpret the theme that became an OTS, for the film of the same name. And regarding what you think of JUNGKOOK's voice, other connoisseurs of these topics have commented very similar things and have praised his versatility, his vocal technique, his ablids and harmonizations. But it is also very true that when they work as a team they are heavenly, and pure dynamite because they are all very good. Omg this song always makes me cry. Love all of their songs but I don’t know what it is about their Japanese songs they are special man, they just hit different. The song was co-written by JK and it was written for a Japanese film with the same name. I agree with everything that you said, Kookie has THE PERFECT pop voice. Jin is king of belting, Tae’s range is something else, and I am Jimin biased so for me his voice is like an angel I’d hear him everyday for the rest of my life hahaha and the rap line is so special and diverse that all together are a match made in heaven is almost unbelievable. Your OT7 comments and opinions on JK's voice are all 100% on point! There is NO question that every voice and every member is crucial to BTS, but it's equally true that Jungkook's voice is specifically perfect for a pop voice. His role in the group is Lead vocalist. All of the members have talked about JK's importance to their sound, but RM especially has talked a lot about how JK's voice the cornerstone of their music.

As a new Army who consumed a lot of BTS content in a short space of time, I just absorbed each new song, gradually accepting that I was going to love each and every one. It was only later that it struck me how remarkable it is for BTS to deliver Japanese songs like this (and Crystal Snow, and Don’t Leave Me, and Film Out and…you get the idea) so effortlessly and seamlessly that you can forget they’re not singing in their native tongue. If you don’t already have it you might want to consider their BTS The Best album released in 2021. It’s a greatest hits type compilation of their original Japanese songs like Your Eyes Tell, Stay Gold, Let Go, Lights and the ones I mention above. Plus it has the Japanese versions of their Korean hits.

This is the eponymous title song for a Japanese film. It was co-written by Jungkook and was supposed to appear on his solo mixed tape which is still a work in progress. The film is about a blind woman & a sighted man who falls in love with her.

As the voice teacher said in American Hustle Life, his (V) voice is a treasure. I love their Japanese songs, first because I can actually understand them immediately, but also most of them have a good grasp of the Japanese language (a lot of other Korean boybands sing phonetically as they do not read/spell Japanese) and can also converse in Japanese fluently and understand what they are singing which shows. Fun fact: when the red haired girl from the ON music video was asked how she talked to BTS (she seemed on set rather chummy with V and JK) she said they talked in Japanese (one of her parents is Japanese) and she conversed with both of them and some of the others fluently and without any problems.

This is such a haunting emotional song. They all sound so amazing. Jimin and Jin singing in Japanese pierces me soul not to sound too cheesy, but the both of them do it when they sing in Japanese even in crystal snow they do it. Please don't get me wrong I dont want hate the rest of them empress me over and over but the Japanese songs just cater to Jimin and Jin voices is all. I love them all , and they all need to be on the song to make it one of their best .

Absolutely, they couldn't lose a single one of them and be BTS. But there is a reason Jungkook is the main vocal. His voice is the glue in all the songs. His harmonies and ad libs lift and support the others voices and make them shine even more than they already do. As much as you talk about Jungkook's perfect pop flat, he also has a beautiful vibrato that he can pull out when he wants. As someone who used to sing, I am in awe of his vocal control and range of techniques. The breathy, yet perfectly supported high notes that he can float out are just so beautiful.

We all should be OT7 but it´s impossible not having a favorite, in my case is Jin, every time I hear Jin´s voice it melts my heart, so emotional. As several people have said, this song is an OST for a movie. The movie is about a down and out boxer that meets and falls in love with a blind woman. Jungkook changed some of the lyrics to better match the plot of the movie. So, when you're looking at the lyrics, try to keep in mind that the song is meant to be sung to a blind person. For me, anyway, that knowledge changes the way these lyrics hit.

Tae's voice is what drew me to him as my bias in the first place and his personality cemented it, his looks are just the cherry on top of the cake. Jimin later came to join him as my now double bias of Vmin and the others all wreck me at different times. this song was composed by jungkook as the ost for a japanese film of the same name. they said in an interview that it is “an expression of the beautiful and deep world of love in the movie” and its theme focuses on “how there is light in the future that your eyes are seeing, even in difficult situations.” they’re comparing a future without that special someone to a “world without colour,” but even if darkness is all they see, they’ll still consider it “beautiful “ because they’re hopeful they’ll see each other again. they’re confident the darkness will only be temporary, and one day they’ll see the light. for some context about the film, it’s about a girl called Askari who becomes blind after an accident but clings to life and the smaller pleasures it can still afford her. i don’t want to say too much in case you want to watch the film at some point. i’m pretty sure it’s also a remake of the south korean film called ‘Always’ which is about a romance between an ex boxer who closed his heart to the world and a telemarketer who remains spirited despite slowly going blind.

Jungkooks vocals i think have the highest quality. His ad libs/harmonies are spot one and comes naturally. He also has perfect pitch. He is an extremely versatile singer and he can sing all genre if he wants. Sadly we dont often hear the lower part of his voice and not showcased through BTS’ music.

It amazes me that the rapline are also able to rap/sing in this beautiful melodic way that doesn’t take away or feel out of place with the powerful vocals of this song. And then it feels like the vocal lines almost competing to see who can be more impressive( I know they aren’t😂) because they are all so incredible. I love their Japanese songs so much which are mostly ballad, because it showcases their vocals alot. Each of their vocal tones are so very very distinct, but they can shapeshift it flawlessly too. I, too, have this attraction to Tae's voice...like it's a low pitched soulful, sultry/sexy voice and when he belts, there's this "tickly cry" (similar to Jimin but quite different, also Jimin's vocal fry is absolutely gorgeous). My favorite description of Tae's voice in his natural singing state (showcased in Sweet Night, Scenery, Winterbear, 4'oclock) is his voice which is like a warm chocolate and blanket during winter... Tae and Jimin vocals is like two far-away edges of a spectrum with same hues. On the other hand, Jin's voice is very soulful and emotional while JK's so cold and refreshing, yet another two edge of a spectrum from Jin's emotional voice to JK's soothing voice. I'm not a vocal expert so I can only describe them in figurative language. Anyway, all I can say that each of them has beautiful unique and distinct voices.

It’s an OST for a Japanese movie. So it fits the narrative of the film very closely. Having said this though, I find that you don’t really need to know what the song actually is about. It’s so lyrical I will just take away whatever interpretations I get from it. The movie is about a girl going blind literally but for me the song just reads that if I lose this special person, my world loses colours; and if I’m with this person even if in times of despairs (darkness), our world is still beautiful. So we just need to have trust in each other.
