Today as we extended our travel in South Korea we were exposed to so much talent and this time we have the pleasure of peeping another great track BTS Cypher 2! Although half the words are understood due to different native languages on thing that is universally understood it energy, charisma, hunger and the gift of drawing an audience and this group brings just that!! BTS has been around since 2013. But prior to that, both RM and Suga started off as underground rappers.

"These guys studied real hip-hop" y'all got that right! Fun Fact: At the beginning of their career, BTS was actually mentored by Coolio (RIP), Warren G., and Tony Jones in BTS' show called American Hustle Life! You guys could check that out as well! It is a show where they went to the US to learn about Hip Hop and the culture because BTS was formed heavily as a hip-hop group! And not only that, they have deep respect for the culture too. BTS is a group that has consistently shown its appreciation and respect for the roots of hip-hop. They always pay homage to the culture which I truly appreciate as a hip-hop fan myself! The love, passion, and respect they have for hip-hop are genuine and their music is a manifestation of just that. Thank you for reacting to them! I hope you could check more of their work. (P.S. I think it's safe to say that no other rap line compares to BTS' rap line!)

@2:05 Jhope’s not going on tour, Suga is the one who’s going on tour. Jhope will go to the military soon, it’s mandatory. Jin (eldest member) already went to the military last year on December. Jhope will be the next one to follow. We still don’t know who will go after Jhope but all 7 members will go to the military. All members are expected to finish their military service around 2025. BTS Members by age: Jin 30 (Dec 1992) Suga 30 (March 1993) Jhope 29 (Feb 1994) RM 28 (Sept 1994) - leader V 27 (Dec 1995) Jimin 27 (Oct 1995) JK 25 (Sept 1997)

Hi @rein_army, thanks for sharing this information with them. I did want to clarify for them though, just FYI for those who are not from the USA. They were referencing a military tour of duty. I’m sure other countries use this terminology also, it just becomes so confusing with us being titled ARMY as well. LOL. 💜💜💜

Both Suga and RM (Rap Monster) came from the underground rap scene while J-Hope was a well known street dancer who learned rap after joining BTS and they’ve all (including vocalists) have known each other for about 13 years and been together officially for about 10 and I like the fact that aside from being in BTS all the rappers release their own mixtapes regularly

I really think you guys would enjoy RM’s collab with Wale ‘Change’ or the song ‘hip-hop phile/lover’ which includes every member of BTS but it talks about the rappers that inspired them and ‘Spine Breaker’ which to me has a strong west coast rap influence

Do the cyphers, then the live show with them doing all four together. Listen to Hip Hop Lover (Hip Hop Phile), They all have amazing solo work (Suva’s solo name is Agust D, Suga backwards with DT, or Daegu Town, where he is from and his first rap groups name). DDaeng, Baepsae, UGH, all should be reacted to with immediate (same reaction video) watch explanation videos to really know how intense the bars are.

RM and Suga were rapping writting since they were 13-15, the cyphers came out in their early years because they were being dissed by underground rappers for becoming idols. So they put these put. J-Hope learned from Suga and RM but then became one of the best rappers in SK, side by side with RM and Suga. They started in 2013 and now all three have mixtapes and albums under their names.

You should definitely react to D-day which is Suga/ Agust D album released before military enlistment and J-hope's "Hope on the street" which was released while in military. It's a OST album for his Dance documentary. I think you will like both those works

I noticed tho, that whenever you give your comments, you don't really communicate to each other. It's like you are competing to give your comments first. Even tho you overlap everytime especially that guy on the right with a black shirt. He doesn't know how to give way to the other guy on the left. I mean yeah he's feeling the song. But interacting with each other also adds a good atmosphere. It's always the one on the left who's giving way and being considerate.
