Im so happy you reacted to this song. This song I think is what got me into bts. To put more context about the song,The song is about two things: This song was written as a tribute to the Seoul ferry tragedy that killed almost 304 students. The students in the ferry were told to stay in the position by the captain and ferry staff when in reality they escaped and left the children to drown.The government tried to downplay the incident but bts risked being blacklisted by the media and still talked about this .This song resonates with alot of the Korean society and has been on the charts for 146weeks and running. You recently uploaded a video about being lonely and how you wanted to meet your family. RM from bts wrote this song in park to listen to when you are missing friends and your loved ones, people that have passed away ,people that you haven't met in forever. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you basically felt out the basics of this piece about the story element. Um I think you might like the piece Save me as well which has a contemporary pop feel. They have a dance practice video of it. And then Save Me has a sister song called I'm Fine which has the same Melody played backwards in an up tempo. So if you react to Save Me it's a cool experience to also look at I'm Fine. There is a connecting story behind both and can be read in both their dance and lyrics. P.S. New to the channel but have been catching up and a respect your knowledge and opinions of BTS through your eyes. this has always been one of my favorite songs and choreos from BTS, it’s so beautiful 🥺 if it’s not too much to ask, i’d also like to see you react to other kpop groups, if you don’t mind! especially one named Seventeen. they have 13 members (the name is deceiving lol) and they are known for their hard choreos and insane synchronization. songs include Home, Getting Closer, and Don’t Wanna Cry. would also love for you to see a girl group named Loona, and their dance practice for their song Butterfly. it’s arguably one of the hardest girl group choreos ever, to me at least as someone who likes to dance, and it’s really beautiful and visually pleasing. some other groups to name off the top of my head are Monsta X, Stray Kids, Gfriend, WJSN (Cosmic Girls), Ateez, and NCT. 😊💝

You do need to understand the song in order to appreciate the choreo. The choreo does tell a story and the isolations and lack of spacing had reasons.

@Jordan Sparks - I'm so glad, that as you mentioned, someone explained it to you! Then hopefully, you can realize that the choreography actually shows & reflects the Sewol ferry tragedy where so many students lost their lives unnecessarily! Like for instance when they are moving to & fro from one side to the other it represents the waves and the ship going back & forth while sinking causing the passengers to do the same! In the live performance the members are usually wearing billowing shirts to represent either the masts of the ship and or the waves. Jimin, in the very beginning when he's reaching upwards with his hand the waves just swallow him up! There is another part where Tae goes to one side of the room/stage 'grieving' and other member goes to comfort him while the rest of the members form the bow of the ship representing, part of the ferry is still visible, while, the rest of it is sinking going underwater! I really recommend you try to understand the lyrics & meanings of the songs, because then you'll realize that many times the choreo's movements reflect either of the storyline or what each BTS song is trying to convey! So each movement and placement is carefully thought out!!

I love your reactions. This song is special, it talks about the tragedy of a ship that sank in Sewol on April 16, 2014. The boat was full of high school students, more than 300 people died. The choreography even has its meaning and the video of the song too. The song became an icon in Korea to remind students.

Imma agree that in group dances, everyone needs to be aware of spacing, but I think they were very aware during the section you mentioned it. Some members (no shade on anyone coz I love them all to bits) are not as skilled, particularly in contemporary dance than others and that section, if they were more visible, would really highlight that fact, therefore I think there spacing then was intentional. Thank you so much for this reaction(this is my favorite BTS song). If you ever plan to react to other kpop group's dance practices, I'd like to recommend seventeen or Monsta X. Seventeen is a 13(!) member group with a variety of styles who are dubbed the "synchronization kings"(you could react to don't wanna cry, thanks, home, hit, fear, nice and getting closer; they all have great choreos). Monsta X has seven members and a completely different style from BTS, which is more intense and hard hitting, but as a dancer they're really satisfying to watch( my faves are shoot out, dramarama, alligator, follow and beautiful). If you want to stick to BTS only, you might find it interesting to watch some of their really early stuff (like we are bulletproof or no more dream) to see how their style evolved or their solo performances(jimin: lie and serendipity, v: singularity, jungkook:begin and euphoria). Regardless of whether you check out my recommendations or not, thank you for your reactions! As a dancer myself I really appreciate someone with topical knowledge acknowledging kpop and giving their honest opinion.

I think if you react to dance practices you should first find out what the lyrics to the song are because a lot of the dances go with the lyrics and if you do not know what is being said you cannot understand the dances fully (in my opinion). There are a lot of lyric videos out there that translate BTS songs to English. A lot of people say that Spring Day is about the Ferry Tragedy, but that is not true. RM and Suga of BTS have both said that it is about their experiences and RM wrote it to help people. The Music Video to the song has 2 theories: 1 - it is about the Ferry Tragedy and 2 - it is about the Bangtan Universe storyline that runs through most of BTS's Music Videos.

Anything with music in it, gets copyright claimed by the music owner. The way it works on youtube, is they pay you for displaying Ads on your videos.
