Thank you for watching the explanation, even though it is so hard to watch. Suga and RM wrote the song about missing a friend. Not specifically about the tragedy. However, the music video is about the tragedy. They could have gotten black listed just for donating to the families so they did so quietly. Many people who spoke out were black listed until the then president was impeached. Also, they didn't have much money at the time. They were just starting to get big. I think the makes helping the families even more profound.

I remember when this happened and I was furious that the stupid captain told them to don’t move meanwhile he was the coward who left those poor kids there in the ferry for to sink . Spring day is one of bts very special songs that make people feel comfort and it was so popular when it came out , it even got an award song of the year .

Even though I enjoyed your reaction to the MV, I knew what you were in for when you said you had the Italian ARMY explanation queued up next. And I knew it would F-up your Gangsta. Can only 💜 you more for that. Not to add more salt to your wounds here, but the US troops/ships with divers and recovery ops were ready on hand to assist also but were told they weren’t needed because “Everyone had been rescued”. Sorry, I just had to add that so you’d get a little more of the whole scope. So glad to see you back. 💜

And OMG just wow I had no idea all that was behind that video I'm thinking it was a love song. And it definitely effed up my gangster lol and that is so messed up that folks were trying to help and they said they weren't needed! WTF! That is just horrible it's like they didn't want to save the rest of those people! And don't be sorry I'm so glad to know the story that is a part of History not just BTS history for being a strong enough to bring awareness to the tragedy but history. When the tragedy happened news coverage here in the states just glossed over it; taking the Korean news as accurate. Seeing what really happened is on beyond heartbreaking. My respect for BTS just continues to grow. Thanks for sticking with it, even though it was gut wrenching.

This is one of my favorite songs with so much meaning. BTS did an amazing job honoring the victims of the ferry tragedy and exposing the government for trying to cover it up. Thank you for watching the explanation video too. On another note, I just have to say that we (Detroit) came out strong. Even though Lions didn't make it, they gave us an Amazing year. 💜💜

I almost jumped out of my skin when i saw you. I havent received any of your notifications so miased your reactions so very much. I was happy to see you doing Spring Day. Not sure if any of the commentators advised that the song has never left the Korean charts since it was released. Every year around the tragedy date/month the song climbs the charts again. When V sings about my best friend i always cry as my best friend past with cancer a few years ago so at that point i just barely breathe thru the song. Please dont pressure yourself in trying to figure out everything as u watch their MV's as even i came to realise that fhey lyrics, music, they way the shoot their MV concept is always littered or layered with deep meanings and stories and it sometimes takes me months before i understand everything myself. I enjoy the process of learning from other much clever Army or from reactors etc. Each time it gives me a new love for the boys. Lots of purple love from 53yr Army South Africa 💜💜💜💜💜

Hugs 🙏💜 I'm glad you've seen this, this song has remained on the charts in Korea since it came out. The members say the song is about loss and grief but everyone agrees the MV is about Sewol. It's absolutely infuriating and heartbreaking. Most of the crew are in prison, some committed suicide. There were American ships close enough to see what was happening who called in asking if they needed help, they were told no no, it's under control. There are videos of the kids recording goodbyes to their families from the sinking ship. Nightmarish. Thank you for doing this, it helps not forgetting 🙏💜

This song and vid is beautiful! I was shocked to learn something so tragic happened. The way BTS incorporated hints in the video to let viewers know exactly what they meant was so creative and powerful. My heart goes out to those families and I'm glad the people behind this got there due. To know American ships were that close to help and were told not to is just F--ked up! Watching that video I had no idea that there was such a deep story about it! Yeah it was it was so sad watching her exclamation video but I appreciate BTS even more for stepping out and bringing it to everyone's attention. When I saw what you were going to react to, I honestly felt kind of bad and wanted to give you a hug and tissues. It’s hard. That’s interesting about what the shoes mean when you see them. I think it might be different depending on where you are? To me it means that’s where an unnatural sudden death has taken place - a shooting, a hit and run, things like that. Or maybe it’s just that I’m old. Lol When I watched the first time, seeing the shoes at the end gave me chills (not the good kind) and made me look up the meaning of the MV. You did better than I did - I snot sobbed. With some of their songs and MVs, I don’t see how not to be political. There is quite a bit of messaging in some of their MVs - things they really can’t say flat out. Being away may change how they feel, but I got the sense from RM that we may be seeing more social commentary when they get back. Songs like this, Baepsae, Am I Wrong, Go Go make me smile because of how they’re such bops but have so much to say. Anyway, this song is called The Queen for a reason. It’s beautiful but I can’t listen to it without tearing up. I can’t remember if you’ve already watched Dynamite and Save Me. If you have, you can watch their Tiny Desk concert which has all three. Spring Day with a live band is just wow. Great reaction as always. I appreciate how much you love music and lyrics and meaning. It makes you one of my favorite reactors on here.

Oh, we're sorry for "trying to get you" but you handled it with grace and it's okay to lose your gangsta sometime amongst friends! 💜Spring Day is considered the Queen of BTS songs. I don't think any song will ever top it for me. It hit such a cord with the Korean population that it was released in 2017 and has never left the Korean charts since. I believe it's still there. The song itself was not written about the tragedy. I believe RM and Suga wrote it about losing friends. Actually the person Suga is talking about in his part is the same friend he raps about in Dear My Friend (great Agust D song). For the MV they decided to do a tribute and social commentary on this tragedy. It's kinda a right of passage for any true Army, so, ya made it! 💜I think all of us can relate to the corruption of governments and how they choose corporate greed over human life. And, when it's kids it's that much more infuriating. Where I'm from you can never question the government publicly, so art like this is the only way to make the people's voices heard. I live in North America now and I'm still afraid of posting against them. That's how powerful they are. I relate to this struggle so much. So many people have died for greed, power and financial gain. The meaning of Spring Day has changed to mean many things to Army, most recently, of course, we have used it as a bitter sweet see you later to our boys. The boys have referenced it a lot too in their recent songs for Army like Take Two, Letter by Jimin and Closer than this by Jimin. Thank you for doing this song justice with your reaction. I'm not complaining at all I love to see all that BTS have to offer. you know just more than making us look at them like ...ohhh so sexy but all around a well rounded group they touch on every single base. They can make you laugh, they can make you cry, they can make you think and they make you want to be a better human. From their examples my heart goes out to all those families that was affected by this tragedy but I'm so thankful that BTS made it a point to get this song out there because I never heard of this here in the states it wasn't until I did my reaction I even knew about this. Which is so sad because I was told by Army that America was trying to send help as well and it was told to stand down.
