song is based on a story called La Citta de Smeraldo. Its about a man who locked himself away in a castle cause he thought himself as to ugly. A woman came by his castle and he got mad at first then curious. He found out she sold flowers for a living. He soon fell in love but be couldn't show himself cause he was "to ugly" thus the lyrics "you know I can't show you me, give you me". He decided to plant a flower in his garden that she could sell at an expensive price. But the woman stopped coming. He found out she had died.
