he injured his shoulder during the debut days when he had an accident while having delivering job. Unfortunately the injury is permanent but he didnt tell anyone about it and said that he fell down the stairs because he thought bighit would let him go . But when bighit found out they paid for his college fees because he lost his job after the accident :'(

I am pretty sure Yoongi will be in the new MV, it's just he won't participate in the live stages and the interviews in between. I am just really happy and relieved that Bighit is protecting him and that Yoongi himself puts himself first (FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE, SMH). Idk if I wanna smother him with hugs and kisses or whack his head for being careless and not doing the surgery when it was really needed. He's been dealing with the pain for 8 YEARS. The mental and physical strength of this guy is insane.

I’ve had the same injury and surgery to my left shoulder and I just have to how strong and how much absolute strength of will Yoongi has for battling with this for so long. I won’t lie, I cried so much the day I read this because I know from first hand experience how agonizingly painful it is. Therapy and shots don’t do much of anything to mask the pain. Army please, let’s work hard for Yoongi now as he has worked hard for us for so many years. Let’s keep his spirits up, let him know how important he is to us. As he walks down this long recovery road, let’s remind him no matter what that he will never walk alone.

@@someonecool110 yes I’m glad that he was able to receive care and even though it’s unfortunate that they can’t perform like they used to right now I consider it a blessing in disguise for now he can take the time to truly heal properly. I’ve often wondered if some of the reason he is always so tired aside from working late into the night is also because of the pain which I know used to keep me up. You can’t lay on that shoulder and it is hard to a find a comfortable spot to fall asleep

Suga is most likely still going to be in some activities in the new album like things that they recorded like show or interviews before he went for surgery but any live event like the coming mama 2020 he won't perform with the others it will just be 6 of them

I feel so bad for Yoongi having to go through all that pain for us...but like I'm also impressed how he was able to do those epic dance moves with said pain. He works way to hard, he needed to start caring about himself. Hope he gets better soon!

I had so much anxiety watching him do the push up move in Dionysus and was so relieved when they changed the choreography after. I am really, really happy that he followed doctors suggestion to take the operation rather than forcing it and taking the shots.

Apologies if other people have shared this. So Suga had the surgery on November 3rd. They had already shot the MV and their AMAs performances, as far as I know. An ARMY on twt said she had researched the surgery and the recovery time is 6-9 months. Right now he's in the period of simply letting the surgical sight heal, so I'm not sure if we'll see him for the album drop. The next phase is likely letting soft tissue heal (muscle, tendons, ligaments, etc.), and THEN he'll be able to start physical therapy. Because he's young and healthy things could move a little faster, but we'll see. I suspect we'll see him again in December sometime if not before, and he may be able to perform in some capacity, but he won't be dancing through year end, and probably well beyond. I was thinking it's maybe a silver-lining to the tour cancellation, as depressing at it was for so many of us. If he's really been struggling, the tour could have really pushed things over the edge - the schedule was grueling, 13 weeks, I think? Crazy. I think the MOTS: ONE concert may have triggered this whole thing, and in a lot of ways, it's actually a good time overall, album promos notwithstanding. I think his brother has posted a couple of times on social media to say he's happy and doing well, and Jimin said the same on his YT live last night. Really sorry we won't have him for the BE promotions, but so happy he finally got treatment for this issue. As you guys said, hopefully he'll come back even stronger. It was the right decision. In bighit statement it said he had decided to bite the bullet and get it done now so that he's strong enough for upcoming military service and his ongoing music career once service is over. According to the clever fans who have researched this kind of surgery he could probably be recovering for the next 3 to 6 months but don't know how accurate that is 🤷

For the Bighit label concert, SEVENTEEN isn't able to participate because it overlaps their busy schedule, so they aren't performing :( So far, we got 1st & 2nd lineup which is Enhypen & Nu'est then GFriend & TXT (they're all performing on the same day)
