Most of “American Hustle Life” is cringe worth! Most Army dislike (I hate) the treatment of BTS. There are a few wonderful moments, but most are. eeeekkkksss! It was 2014, Big Hit didn't have that much resources.. they've been living together until last year I think as they announced in their festa their lease ended recently and they now moved out individually to their own place

During covid they stayed in their dorm all 7 of them. They shared rooms. That dorm is now vacated. The lease expired and they cleaned the dorm this week. Festa 2022 Dinner mentions the dorm and their living habits. But they had these apartments and houses before covid.

oh yes they are now living like the megastars they deserve to be but they all come from bottom, that's why they are so humble, kind, and genuine people, they rise up on their own, totally self made. i love them fun fact for Luke: BTS have reality series called BTS IN THE SOOP (meaning 'BTS in the forest' in Korean), it's where the 7 of them took a vacation far from city and put a stop to their busy activities to just spend 5 to 6 days just to relax, healing times and engage in various hobbies. it have 2 seasons so far, after the success of season 1 (2020) the have a MAJOR UPGRADE for season 2 (2021) , the production team had built them a private vacation home or should i say A MANSION/LUXURY VILLA , JIN said and i quote "Isn't this basically a castle" made especially for "BTS and BTS only" in the middle of the woods that would be kept hidden. It took 1 YEAR to build the entire complex and the place comes equipped with a gym, a basketball and tennis court, a pool, camper van and much more. SO MANY SPONSORS (from various companies) WANT TO BE INCLUDED IN BTS In the soop the scale was absolutely MASSIVE! Tthis is just a small part of the proof of how far they have come, their huge demands, and how special BTS is for their company to get such lavish treatments

This was such an uplifting episode. I recognise the words of the people they met on the street as things the members have said so many times over the years and it's so heartwarming to see that they really took them to heart and chose to live by them. It's also super cool that they met up with Warren G and spoke about how he met Snoop and Nate and now they have an upcoming collab with Snoop! Also, I love Iris, I want her to tutor me (she could not have been more right about V's voice!). Thanks again for letting us watch along with you 💜💜💜

The guys have come a long way since the dorms. They each have their own nice places and also a place they share. The lease just ran out though and they have decided to vacate completely, so for the first time ever, they will not have a shared house. It makes me sad. Their shared places have been upgraded over the years though. Trainees do not have much money in the early days. The video they filmed in L.A. at the beginning is the L.A. version of Boy in Luv. There is a behind the scenes video on it that is good, a video here called "BTS Being Thirsty." The boys were so shy around the girls. It is worth watching. Also, do not forget about JK's surprise new song for us, My You, and his new song with Charlie Puth coming out next week.

hey Luke 💜 this documentary is following their career starting their first years. BTS as you know it nowadays took a while to get started, they used to share one bedroom back in the day, slowly when they got more recognition and gained more money for Big Hit, they rented bigger apartments where they used to share rooms in (Yoongi-Jin, Hoseok-Jimin, V-RM, JK had a room for himself). A few years ago they started to buy their newest apartments, where they now live separately in, and used their shared dorm only when they had early schedules together. Actually their apartment lease expired this year and BTS touched the subject in their anniversary dinner early this week. It was really emotional 🥺💜 anyway, I'm in the middle of the episode, I'm gonna keep watching now

I think people are talking about the two separate videos connected to each chapter when they say you're missing something: Bonus content and Deleted Scenes. Generally speaking you could say that while the RoB focusses on the story and circumstances, Bonus Content and Deleted Scenes is where you find the funny moments and the less story-propelling content. And I totally agree - you're really missing out if you don't watch them. 😂

Loved this episode!! And I truly think so much of what they learned on the streets during this has stuck with them to this day-"Always give back," Don't forget where you came from," "Be true to yourselves as artists," etc.-these seven boys developed the biggest hearts and have proven their talents over and over again and still do. It is so surreal to be watching this now - after the Festa Dinner. Previously I got such joy from this content but now I feel a bit sorrowful because these formative years... well the chapter has closed on them. We are truly moving onto Chapter 2 and it is a bit daunting emotionally. I wish you all the joys with this channel - but for now I am going to stick to whatever official content drops and give myself a break from the extra BTS content because I need to be ready for the Military announcement that is coming. It's only 8 episodes but it will tell you so much about where they came from and why they do what they do. It's seriously my first and favorite series. The company was capital S Struggling at that point so this trip was a very big deal and gamble basically. It bloody did pay off. It was indeed rough physically but they learned a lot. 💜

17:00 - Humble beginnings, friend, humble beginnings. There was so much riding on Bangtan's success that their company was on the brink of bankruptcy. When they first debuted, BigHit was a tiny company in the giant pool of the K-pop industry, and sitting at the top of the "food chain" so to speak, were "The Big 3" -- SM Entertainment, JYP, and YG. They monopolized the airways and the TV broadcasting behind the scenes, pushing their artist making it nearly impossible for BTS to get hardly any screentime in their home country. Directly because of that, we get to now enjoy shows like "RUN BTS" and "Bon Voyage" and, at that time, "American Hustle Life" because their company didn't have the funds nor industry sway/connections to get BTS onto your standard variety show or talk show to promote band activities/projects. I'm sure it goes without saying, the amount of pressure these guys were under to "make it" was at an all-time high during this era as not just the members were hoping to become musicians/artists but also because their company's future was literally banking on them, peoples' livelihoods were at stake here. So yeah, it was a really tough time, living quarters were the least of their worries.

Hey Luke!! About the dorm: they said - as far as I know but I'm a 1 year old ARMY so I think I'm right, if not, sorry - they lived together until 2018. The first dorm was the one you see them cooking and have the 1 year party. I think in 2015 they changed dorm, it was bigger, so Jungkook had his own room (even tho Jimin and J Hope said he was all the time sleeping in theirs XD But you can imagine Jungkook being the "baby" of the group, he wants to stay with his hyungs - how coreans call big brothers) and the rest had to share rooms in duos what was a upgrade since in the first dorm it was 1 room to them all. So since 2018 (we think) they have their own places. I know that Jimin and RM live in the same neighborhood but we dont know where it's any of their places (and it's better this way right?). I dont know WHEN they started to became rich, I would guess in the end of 2016 maybe, but good money was in 2015 when they started go have a name in Japan (it's the biggest market in Asia). I saw somewhere that 2015 was a year that Big Hit was in danger in therms of money :( Never saw this reality that is American Hustle Life because I was sad with somethings that I saw that happen in this reality :( But those parts in this episode were fun right? I'm always amazed by how much BTS works. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to work (I work home office) but then I think "BTS worked even when too tired, I can work for today". American Hustle Life is the show. Like others have said it has some cringe and some OH HELL NO moments that will make you angry but aftet thats its amazing. Many ARMY refused to watch it because Coolio was a bit of a prat and the first couple of episides had a few rough spots that were hard to watch but honestly they missed out on a brilliant show and yeah this was way back at the start so they pretty much still had nothing and were still pretty much unknown to most people especially in America. The thing is BTS were far tougher than those ARMY gave them credit for... if they could withstand it and thrive from the experience than who are we to shy away from a liitle discomfort... its all part of the journey of who they are and who they have become 💜

Lol you’re actually not the first reactor I’ve heard who’s hung up on their living conditions at that time. This docuseries goes in chronological order for the most part, so this is still 2014, only a year after their debut when they weren’t huge yet. Also, their company was still pretty small at this point and couldn’t afford to get them like separate rooms or anything like that. This episode of RoB is awesome and showcases mostly the best parts of American Hustle Life. There were some rocky parts in this series, but for the most part, the members say that they learned a lot from it, so an overall positive 💜

The bonus and deleted scenes vids are separate videos on Rise of Bangtan's channel -- always posted sequentially after the episode they're for. (Meaning, you can just scroll along and fine Ep 1, Ep1 Bonus, and Ep 1 Deleted all in a row in the Videos list for the channel.) This show was great but there were some cruel scenes. Coolio really didn't like V, one of the trainers got frustrated and hit Jin with a toy on the chest, there was a kidnapping prank that genuinely scared the boys. The ROBT creators cut a lot of these scenes out, which is understandable as it's upsetting to watch

*BTS* debuted on 2013, but they didn't become popular or have big hits right away and no big money coming their way. April 2015, they released "I NEED U" which was their disbandment song. If it did well they would continue if it didn't the company was going to end the group. Obviously it did well and the rest is history but they were VERY close to not becoming who they are now.

While they upgraded from the crappy one-bedroom dorm as their fame and BigHit grew, they've had one shared (luxury) apartment in addition to their (eventual) own separate apartments right up until now; they revelaed at the emotional Festa-video that they were not renewing the lease on the shared space, but would be living separately from now on. It doesn't mean they don't spend time together, but they have outgrown the "dorm" lifestyle, no matter how luxurious.

The scenes from "American Hustle Life" were sometimes hard to take (Coolio was a complete jerk and one of their teachers actually hit Jin and he was gone the next episode), and we got really upset at some things that happened but they learned stuff they wouldn't have been exposed to in S Korea. One thing about BH - especially their old stuff... they let you use it even if they prevent you from being paid for some of it... when there is content in BH videos from other companies, that's when they stop you from showing it. But remember - the video you're watching is was put out by another YT poster and, although she isn't being paid for BH content, she's still allowed to show it on YT. (Most of us who make videos with their content don't get payment for it but... I can't talk for others but I'm just grateful they let me play with their stuff... This is all before they got famous around the world... they were mildly popular in S Korea but they hadn't had a hit yet even there. Jungkook was just 16 and Jin was barely 20, and none of them except RM, knew more than a few English words. They struggled for 3 years before they even won their first major award... (Album of the Year Nov. 2016) 😇💜🌹💜usa

It is like a confession..... and in the end, it turned out to be their most underrated album. This is a great series and she's doing it as a labor of love (I think her name is Aneesa?). But there may be things missing because she's doing this for an audience that knows this material. BTS were really kids. 16- 20 years old, not fluent in English, the first time to America for most of them. They'd only been together for 2 years (debuted a year before this was made) and hadn't had a big hit yet - not even in SK. They worked social media like demons in SK though so they had a good following there and among the Korean teens in LA They had their first American concert here in LA with 200 people and free admission at the Troubadour where Elton John started out.You will understand so much more if you watch the series... It was a resume of the reality show called American Hustle Life... I liked it, except the first two episodes (I hated those), the episodes are here in youtube (except that when they go to their singing, beatboxing and dance tutors - at least, here in Brazil are not available). It happened in 2014, I think, at their beginning, when Bighit was still almost going bankrupt.

Some of that show was SO cringy, but we got a lot of good moments from it too 😂🥹. I loved mama Iris 🥰🥰 BH was nearly a broke company when BTS came into the picture and most trainees (hell, even Michael Jackson) don’t start off with the same level of accommodations that they have later in life when they’re ultra famous. Everyone starts somewhere and most artists start off (and some stay) poor…this was long before they were the BTS we know today 🥹 No, they didn’t lie…lol They meant the little clips they put at the end of the videos during the credits. A lot of people skip them for some reason. Lol

But not all video from others Army channel. Another thing is, if you watch til the end of the vid, it’s count as view in YT. If last 5second of video you out of the vid, the view didn’t count. Get it?😊 If I’m wrong please correct me. Note this: In every BTS MV under BigHit Ent. & Hybe has subtitle and at every of the MV sometimes there is something left for Army. All the MV have story behind it. No Copyright issue on BigHit Ent. Channel. I hope you enjoy all BTS content. 💜🤟

It was crazy seeing this episode and what they learnt in LA. Fun (fun? Odd? Interesting?) fact, the director pranked the members by letting them think they were being hijacked the night thet first arrived at LA.
