SUGA specifically wrote about the friend who went to prison (he is talking about the same person in his song Agust D - Dear my friend). 'Spring Day' is a song with many stories. In Korea, there was a tragedy called the Sewol Ferry incident in 2014, and nearly 300 adolescents were buried in the sea. The cause of the accident was corruption and the government officials who aided him, which led to a dismantling civil revolution. 'Spring Day' is a song dedicated to commemorating and paying tribute to the youths who died innocently.

🎫 My brain went "you haven't reacted to Spring Day?!!!" It's refered to as 'The Queen' for a reason - never left the charts (top100) and rises with every comeback. This song and the meaning behind the mv was what sealed the deal for me as ARMY. The explanation video (technincally a fan theory) by Italian ARMY is a must (it's probably the most important BTS song to watch this for. Like, by far!). As many others have commented the same, I hope you'll find time for it one day. It really deserves the time, energy and respect. It's a BTS stable. We usually don't recommend reacting to it right away bc it's so heavy.

The reason they are with their live band is because they did this during the pandemic and couldnt get over to US to do this. They took the opportunity to use the band since they were there together. Spring day is about how they miss Army and cant wait to see them again in a live concert. Its all about Covid 19 and getting thru it.💜

"You know it all, you're my bestfriend." This song is about grief, written through their own experiences, but largly potrayed as the tragic Sewol Ferry incident that occurred in South Korea. Leaving around 500 passengers dead, more than half being students, children. There is much more to this and will become more appreciated if you decide to watch the explanation on bulletproof vibe's channel. The few survivors of the incident said this one line that really struck me and made me see this song in such a different light, "Grown -ups are constantly telling us to forget and cheer up. But we will remember and recollect out friends. Because not forgetting them is what we can do at best." This song, means something, to a lot of people. To immortalize the memory of the ones you have lost. I think this song is one of the many examples of what makes Bts who they are, that they are human, and while we live and continue to gain and lose. They tell us a spring day will come again.

SPRING DAY is well know by Army like THE QUEEN of their songs. It's a wonderful MASTERPIECE, highly recommended the Official Video After that there are explanation videos by XCeleste or another one by an Italian Army(this one is incredible detailed), after that you'll flow away with this song. BTS are not only excellent, amazing singers (no autotune) but wonderful STORYTELLERS. Guys aren't you going to go to any of BTS'dates concerts in L. Did you listen to Fix You? Also whenever Suga is ready to rap on a song you always hear the sshhhhuga just before he comes in ever so faintly. Here RM did it. On the songs listen for it. Spring day deals with Korean politics, people class, loss, sorrow, hope. Read the back story they reference a movie, Snowpierce and the book Omelas to express the grief that hit Korea and the crooked politicians. Sewol Ferry disaster. Watch the mv. No guy... Spring Day is a painful memory for all Koreans over 100 school kids died, even recorded by IU and other Kpop groups. They bring it around to hope.

So many wrote about the beauty of Spring Day but they love singing with a live band. They did a picnic early on with a live band, they did a concert with a live band, also they did a few acustic songs once while Jin played the guitar. I find it so beautiful that they can do live band performances as well as their usual live performances with music prerecorded. But most of their concerts have some live musical aspect to it whether its Jin playing guitar or piano or Suga playing piano or violins playing for jin they love performing live with live music. It adds so much more to their performances.

If you are impressed with the amount of effort they put into the lyrics and meaning of their songs the deeper meaning of this one will blow you away. 🎟️ Yeah, we highly recommend watching the Spring Day music video and then the Explanation video. Maybe prepare tissues, just to be sure, because some of us weren't ready for the probable deep meaning of the video. It was heart-wrenching for me. Namjoon actually said in one of his Vlives, that if you know someone who doesn't like BTS, let them listen to Spring Day.

It's not the first time BTS performed with a live band. This band is called GHOST, they are performing with BTS in some concerts since 2015 (the Red Bullet Tour, Wings, Love Yourself) and live Shows (the last one is BBC One , I think. You can also heard them in Saturday Night Live. The band keyboardist is Doksim, producer of OUtro Tear, and Lie.

When I heard about BTS in 2019 and was curious enough to search their music out, Spring Day was 1st song that came up and suck me in HARD. I ended up searching out all the live performances of Spring Day on YT that day. I just had to learn the words so I could sing along. But watching the Italian Army explanation video killed me.
