It helps that they were dating idols because both parties can see each other during their line of work, but busy schedules are still major keys here. Besides, Dispatch following Jungkook for hours doesn’t really tell anything except that the boys lack privacy. You don’t always stick around your significant other and knowing their popularity, it’ll be risky to get caught with someone of the opposite sexe. Because people only assume couple when they see a male and a female idol hang out apparently. People also assume they are straight by default (but that’s a discussion for another time)
