I remember crying a lot while listening to first love even before knowing the meaning of the lyrics. The emotions that Suga poured into that song is immaculate. I dare to say, after being an army for like 7 years this album really is their turning point. And I'm here for every piece of it. OH AND BY THE WAY, YOU LOOK GOOD IN PURPLE CAITLIN! 💖💖✨

Stigma goes well with the BU but like RM said ,it also means something personal to him. One time when he was asked about the meaning of this song, he said it is something very personal to him and that he wanted Armys to have an idea about what he was going through... he is probably addressing his own brother and sister in this song because he is the oldest in his family and he has a younger brother and a younger sister... but of course we don't know for sure

You aren't ready for the choreo for Lie. It literally is a visualization of the emotional struggle you hear in the music and lyrics. A masterpiece. Also First Love makes me bawl every time. No one can punch me in the emotions like BTS i stg.

Suga is master storyteller. The way he included the piano's pov, and gave it a life, just to emphasize how much the piano/music mean to him, it was not a simple instrument, it was/is his friend, a living being for him. There are people who are good at music, but there are some people who live for music, music is not their profession or passion, it's their life. Suga is that type.

I will say, since Wings it's interesting seeing the sounds each of them lean towards when they have solo songs within BTS. Tae, Jin and Jimin's solos tend to be my favourite I've noticed and, I'd argue Namjoon and Yoongi have the most versatile sounds in their songs.

I think (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that what you said about Jk in Begin was true on those days. I think Namjoon once said that Jungkook never complained or showed he was having any hardships and one time they were all together talking about how tough everything was and Jk started crying. When they asked him what happened he said that his only hardship was watching his members suffer or something like that. I will forever be thankful that Jungkook had 6 guys who stuck by him and took care of him. In this world where a lot of people are rotten and in the industry they're in where everyone's a competition (and Jungkook being so talented!!!) he reaaally lucked out. Also, Wings is a masterpiece 😬

I remember hearing “first love” for the first time. It was like 2 am and I was sitting in my room. I played and read the lyrics. I remember just sitting there sobbing. I had just lost my mom and for some reason it hit harder cuz I automatically placed my mom in place of the piano. We never had a consistent relationship but she was the only thing that kept me going. It was also his raw emotions, it was the first time I had heard Yoongi sound like that. I will never forget it.

Wings tour was my very first bts tour (got into them beginning of 2015). Hyyh will forever be my favorite but the whole comeback (and the teasers!!!) for wings was so insanely good, soooo well done, I hadn’t seen something like that in k-pop before. I'm so glad you're finally listening to the album that brought me in DEEP into kpop! I remember being in grade 6 and analysing the hell out of every music video, film, book, lyric and image that was in any way connected to Wings. The way that each song made me feel was honestly like nothing else and the fact that this album isn't BTS' most recognised album actually hurts. When Yoongi talking about not being with his piano anymore, I think that time he is talking about when he was in middle school and his family was going through a lot, so he didn't do much music and focused on study (which he didn't enjoy, but he had to, because his family was expecting him to do well in study to help the family). Yoongi refered to that time period as his rock bottom.

The first time I heard First Love I cried so hard because of the emotion in his voice even before I read the lyrics. Hearing this and So Far Away from his mixtape (which are linked) together makes me even more emotional. I cannot choose a favorite from the solos as well. They are so good and so different in rhythm and emotions from each other and each contains so much of their essence. I do feel Stigma, First Love and Lie hit me more than the others though.

I’m going to studying music production like you. First Love has a special place in my heart because when I was younger I used to play the piano then I grew up “fell in love” and had to kids. in my opinion, this is their best album. it was indeed the first time they all had solo songs, which made everyone super hype at the time. Blood sweat and tears is an iconic title track, and left a huge impression on the kpop world. cypher part 4, solo songs, and great bsides makes this a masterpiece. (but thats just my opinion, i love all their albums).
