Also, the whole song is a reference to their hidden track ‘Sea’: “The scary desert became the ocean with our blood sweat and tears” You can even hear sea sounds at the beginning of the song Edit: apparently it goes even further back, and is refferencing their hidden track on their debut album, “Skit On the Start Line”. Wow, I am mindblown. Thank you Meg_Dances for ponting it out.

Yeah exactly I was looking for this. A lot of people seemed to have missed this detail. You hear waves in the beginning and the end of the video. It reminds me of the line in the song which goes something along the lines of we know all too well that this was originally a desert. How I see it is that their past was the desert (despair) but they are now moving to the next chapter which is the sea (hope) and that's why they get on the bus and you can hear the waves.

The sound of the seaside at the end, as well. The ending.. idk why but it reminded me of LOST, and the people who say, “They were dead the whole time…” I felt like this is these Angels’ bus ride back whence they came. The white suits made me think of the Grateful Dead’s Go To Heaven album cover. (Yes, this song and video got my thoughts and feelings going all over the place!)

I really love the bus part where in the old MV they didnt get back on the bus to probably explore the world but now they're back on the bus, smiling, all together happy because they got to experience a lot of things: love from ARMYs but there's still bashing but who cares. As long as they are together, they can face anything and everything. Now... they're off to the next chapter.

You may want to add Jin's holding his hand up like in Fake love. Also Jimin points to the sky like he does in On as well as JK running up the sand dune like he runs up the mountain in On as well. Jimin also covers his mouth reaches out to you like he does in Spring Day and he's dressed like Spring Day as well. Also there are purple butterflies maybe to connect to the song Butterfly. Also the place where Suga is standing on the piano reminds me of Stay Gold.

I remember the only one that was on a bus was Jimin in the "Stay Gold" music video. But in "Yet to Come" it's all of them on the bus :) Also, I wanted to add that Jimin also reaches his hand out in the "Yet to Come" mv and that reminded me of DNA as well. And Jungkook running up the sand dune reminded me of the "ON" music video when he runs up the mountain.

So they did reference a lot of their older music in the "Yet to Come" music video 🥰 I love the music video and the lyrics are so beautiful 💜 I think they also referenced Butterfly with that purple butterfly at Yoongi's part; you know on the piano. So I had been right to think it's all connected since their debut, especially with the school bus from the "No More Dream" music video and the rest are references to the BU storyline. You've explained all the rest. They all looked so soft and carefree, it's so nice to see that 🥺✨💜

Thanks Jose...I got most of the references but not the just one day...and a few more you pointed out. This MV made me cry. The aesthetic, the song itself...the lyrics. I think the next chapter is them doing solo work or unit work as they prepare for their enlistment whether that happens or not. I think they have always been planning something like this because they always knew they will have to separate at some point because of the military. This was supposed to happen in 2020 but they got 2 years extension because of the new law passed that made enlistment at age 30 not 28. I think the last two years was certainly something that they never expected! They were supposed to be on a huge world tour 2020...instead Covid happened and they had to change their plan. Then Dynamite happened...they finally got the world recognition they were looking for...then BE happened and then they even got bigger with Butter and PTD! Now it’s time to face the inevitable parting...for a short time. This anthology and this song and for Youth is their message of reassurance for Army. Change is coming...solo endeavours are coming...started with all the solo OSTs...then Hobipallooza, the upcoming collabs, JK with Charlie, maybe Snoop with Rm or Suga... Suga, jhope, RM, V and JK with their mix tapes! They will feed us well before they take a break! My only worry is with Jimin. I noticed he seem more melancholy in their behind the scene videos. He was also so quiet on social media and sent that very heartfelt letter to Army apologizing. I wonder if he is having separation anxieties? I hope the success of with you will encourage him to take on more solo projects. I just want all of them to be happy. After listening to this song and MV...I will not worry about the numbers or accolades for this album and new songs. As they indicated, they are not doing this for that! I will just embrace this album and see it as a warm hug from the boys! Enjoy the rest of the content they will be bringing out! The best is yet to come!

Jose, you did a beautiful job with this - and you also caught more of the references in your first-watch reaction video than any other reactor I saw. Thank you for all of your careful, respectful, fast content. It’s so helpful during the busy comeback + Festa! One aspect of the video that I haven’t seen talked about much at all on KZbin is that the entire video seems to reference the hidden track Sea. They are in the desert, but we hear the ocean at the beginning and the end of the video, plus many of the parallel scenes in this MV and the old one turn a beach scene from an old MV (HYYH, Spring Day, Prologue, etc.) into a desert scene and vice versa. They even included the footage of V in the sand storm, matching the lyrics “무수한 모래알과 매섭고 거친 바람 / countless grains of sand and fierce, harsh winds” and “ 아직도 모래바람에 쫓기고 있는지 yeah / if I’m still being chased by the sandstorm yeah” (doolset’s translation). More than that, Suga’s piano is in it’s own oasis of flowers, which can tie to the line “결국 신기룬 잡히고 현실이 됐고 / Eventually the mirage was caught by us and became reality” because the piano / music made the desert bloom. Three additional thoughts: (1) The fact that many of the the large objects from the previous MVs are shown aged and half buried in the sand is probably a reference to the poem Ozymandias to emphasize that these are monuments to a past glory that can’t last forever. (2) The second half of 바다 / Sea emphasizes that the desert itself is beautiful and that perhaps they want to be in a desert near the sea, since hardship and success, hope and despair are tangled together. So it makes sense for them to be happy in the desert with the sound of the sea at the end. (3) The last verse of Sea seems to be a jumping off point for the 달려라 방탄 track on Proof (Dooleset lyrics again): 울고 싶지 않아 쉬고 싶지 않아 (Suga) I don’t want to cry, I don’t want to rest (아니 조금만 쉬면 어때; J-Hope) (No, how about resting just for a bit; J-Hope) (아니 아니 아니; RM) (No no no; RM) 지고 싶지 않아 원래 사막이잖아 (Suga) I don’t want to lose, this was originally a desert (그럼 달려야지 뭐; RM) (Well, then we have to run; RM) Interpretation: to shed more blood and sweat to fill the desert (더 울어야지 뭐; J-Hope) (Well, we have to cry more; J-Hope) Interpretation: to shed more tears to fill the desert

For me, it is just another PROOF of their genius artistry. Who comes up with all these concepts and more importantly how do they keep track of it all? All their content up to now has one way or another been part of or contributed to the overall arching story, which is the journey that these 7 amazing human beings have been on. A journey of growth and maturity - physically, emotionally and mentally - all with one aim: to love yourself. Come to think of it, "You and I, the best moment is yet to come" maybe is exactly that. The moment when you and I = BTS/ARMY realize we have finally reached the ultimate level of loving ourselves.
