A classic case of the big hitter not throwing enough and getting messed up by an awkward style, Heaney didnt seem to have any power but he landed way more punches because he threw way more. Bentley was waiting for an opening that didnt come to land the big KO but Heaneys movement confused him.

Yo I’m American. I’ve seen Bentley fight a couple times. He’s Just another fighter nothing special like most Brits. But this dude Nathan is too nice!! Definitely a throwback fighter with the guard he used! Just watched this dude take half steps back to bait and counter, half steps back to get out of punching range, use so many different physical controls BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER he punched to prevent opponent returning fire and create opportunities for himself. He’s doing a solid job of getting his head off the line DURING exchanges. Smart with his distance. He’s not a power puncher there’s only so much weight lifting can help strengthen a punch. Things I’d like to see him work on is inside fighting. He just clinches for now. An experienced dude at that distance, will enjoy turning those hard controls he uses into a battle in the phone booth. And some road work to get his cardio up for 15 rounds. If he’s ready for 15 he’ll be good for 12. Some opponents in the future may opt for pushing the pace and heavy volume punching to wear down his defense. He’ll need stamina/cardio to keep up. The middleweight division definitely has a future star in it. Idk if he’s signed or not but he’s one Brit I’ll be keeping an eye out for, man that’s some throwback talent. I can tell whoever raised him was a student of boxing history.
