Wayne’s World something like that. My trainer was a good one and did wonders for me. The sport did. But I remember being 9 years old, coming from a dysfunctional family and living in difficult surroundings. I know the importance a man like Virgil can have on the life of a young boy/man. Real talk.

I don't understand why people say Khan has a weak chin. He DOESN'T. Take a look at the Maidana fight. He took some wicked shots and stayed upright. His problem is he loses focus and gets hit with hard clean shots he doesn't see. ANYONE would be hurt so gtfoh with that lame argument. A person shouldn't be able to take those. About three pounds of pressure is all it takes.

Khan gets an unfair amount of stick from the boxing community. Everybody knows that Khan is a talented, gifted fighter. He knows not to build Khan up before a potential fall against an opponent like Crawford. If he had no confidence, he wouldn't be training Khan for this fight. It would be foolish to lack confidence in Khan anyway, he's got the ability. Bags of it.

Notice Virgil didn't say (nor was he asked if) he supports taking the Crawford fight. I would love to see Khan being competitive in this match up and he may be for a couple of rounds, but I just don't see any way he can win this. Worse I can't see him finishing the 12th round - he is likely going to get knocked out. :( One thing Khan definitely deserves credit for - he doesn't break down after defeats. This is a huge asset. I would bet a guy like Spence for example would completely collapse psychologically if/when he gets beat.

Just keep the number of punches in his combinations to a limit of two or three punches and keep moving. But yea, definitely mix it up with different variety of punches.

One of the best trainers of last few decades probably...many fighters may have had much more successful careers under someone like him, intelligent, philosophical and knowledgeable... I think Goosen was good for Khan as well though. Khan had a successful career but probably could have had much better with more discipline and more development of tactics and techniques rather than just relying on the blistering speed.
