I watched this top 8 live on stream with some friends, and like most people, we had no idea who Jmook was so we didn't really know what to expect. The 3-0 against n0ne was a surprise, especially with the game 3 4 stock, but we had our doubts before this set began. Game 1 was pretty even and very close and we were all impressed. And then game 2 started with Cody's stock near immediately being taken off like THAT with the crowd going wild in the background, and that's when I realized that Jmook really is something else. This set is my favorite from Genesis 8

I was at Genesis and saw every set live that jmook played in from when he beat plup onward and the energy in the crowd was insane. What's so crazy is it isn't even like he had an easy bracket or got bailed out by his opponent throwing a key game or playing poorly. He went through plup, llod, n0ne and obviously Cody, and unquestionably outplayed each one of them. The consistency of it is what's impressive, particularly in fox match up. I mean he beat Cody 3-0 and I think most people would say that Cody is at worst a top 3 fox player in the world, probably number 1. He didn't just beat him either, he smacked the shit out of him. I don't even think Cody was playing badly. Never seen anyone play sheik like that before, not even plup. He literally only lost to Zain at this tournament. If jmook can play at this level consistently he'll easily be a top 5 contender eventually. Would love to see him play against mango or wizzy

ill think about watching this set live forever. we had watched jmook make so many upsets by this point that we knew he was different. we still figured his run HAD to end here. it just seemed unfathomable that hed keep up the same level of focus against an even tougher opponent with all the pressure mounting. the fact that he not only secured another win but did so in the most dominating fashion we'd seen all top 8 was SURREAL to say the least. i couldn't believe what i was seeing. i got chills at every read. it was crazy to witness and know jmook was gaming the best he'd ever gamed in his life at that point. one of the best sets ever, feels unlikely ill ever get to witness anything similar again
