@@sinner8684 That the Glory plot dragged on entirely too long and generally felt quite meandering for the vast majority of it. It's especially irritating because they already established a way to buff up Buffy's combat power which they could do *and* have 2 witches + Spike providing support. The "Ben is Glory" idea was interesting, but really fell short of having any major impact for the group(this glorious scene aside) until the very end when Giles pulls a Gunn on Ben after the fight. All in all, there was the good foundation for an arc there, but the execution just got bogged down in poor pacing and an overall lack of direction. Thus, overall, the whole Glory plot just felt as if you could skip most of the season and miss very little. To be fair, it just seemed like there wasn't enough leadership, since Joss was spread thin between Buffy and Angel. Similarly, Angel seemed to run into that same storytelling and direction problem in around when Firefly was going on.

@@Kileik the Glory arc had *some* potential and had an interesting ending, but the journey was pretty lame. "OP Entity keeps trouncing the Slayer and company by a degree that both shows how dire the situation is and stretches credibility by them being left alive this many times" "Said entity has stupid name" That would honestly be fine if most of the episodes didn't come off like first drafts of filler. Maybe part of the issue was they played their hand too early with Glory's first encounter with the Slayer. Glory could and probably should have been given at least half the buildup Jasmine got before a later reveal. Instead, they just kept running into her and when not utterly destroying them, she just kinda meandered a bit not really doing much. As for the Glory is Ben, that had basically no real build up and very little payoff other than this bit with Spike. Maybe if Ben actually integrated into the group a bit first and was thus an unwitting spy, that could have worked better, but he basically was just kinda there and aware of her, but couldn't be bothered to do anything about it.

@@InfernosReaper The "Ben is Glory" thing was a way to nerf Glory. That's also the reason Glory never killed the gang, Ben unconsciously kept her from going all out in fights and Glory explained it herself to Dawn. There's also the fact Buffy is a much more skilled fighter than Glory, who relies entirely on her power hence Buffy could hold her own despite being weaker. In the end it works very well narratively, sorry if you couldn't appreciate this arc. Most people consider this season top 3 and I put it in 3rd place after S3 and S2.

When Glory was cast out of her hell dimension and sent to earth, she was incarnate was Ben. Ben's entire existence is for the purpose of containing Glory. However, her power is so great that she can't be contained in Ben and so she appears from time to time. However, being in this universe weakens her to where she can't permanetly remain in the form of Glory and must revent back to Ben. Ben is a separate, sentient being but he exists only so as a vessel for Glory.

Actually this is explained in the same episode this clip is from. Glory was the Hellgod of a demon torture dimension along with two others but became so powerful that it scared them so they banished her to this dimension and trapped her in the human body of a newborn baby. As she grew stronger she was able to break out from time to time and take over but she is connected physically to the human body of a male from this dimension who is his own individual separate from Glory but serves as her vessel. What Ben has to do with it I have no idea. Are you saying Ben and Glory are related somehow?

Laughed through nearly the entire thing, man this type of comedy was gold.
