@TheLuizzon3 жыл бұрын
Hi bro, the scene that you fall braking have happen to me in February 2021 with a B Twin riverside 520 . At end I broke my left leg , femur, and spent 2,5 month to start walk again without assistance. I am a 63 old man , till now it’s not clear the main reason for so huge accident since I ride bike for all my life. I brake using both front and rear brake at same time but seems that front break was tighter regulated than rear brake. The brakes were previous regulated at Decatlhon store and I remember the tech guy said me that he like very tight break regulated for better braking .Now my learning says this not right, front break can’t break faster ou tighter than rear brake. My bike brake was a V type brake. I was in São Paulo city Brazil center area and accident occurred due a suddenly stop of various others bikes in front of me in a sudden red light signal . At certain distance I press slowly both brake but when close to others stopped bikers was necessary put more pressure in both brakes then I was heavily fly ahead. In the fall with my 95 kg a hard shock in the floor broke my femur, really an awful experience, pay attention your brake regulation. Could be worst this accident, sure! I guess I was 30 -40 km /h.
@OTGFilms_3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I hope you are recovering well from the accident. When I recorded this video I made this mistake at 30kmh and I guess I was lucky not to be injured. I certainly learned my lesson and keep my brakes well checked. I appreciate your comment as it may serve as warning to anyone who rides a bike and doesn't pay attention to this issue.
@mr_wildschwein3 жыл бұрын
this is really bad... I would suggest that before riding the bike under normal conditions one should carefully test out the bike on a parking lot or somewhere without traffic and test the brakes and such, because you can not 100% rely on Decathlon. I hope you recover soon!

The bike is a little too big for you, I can see it in the way you have adjusted the "riser handlebars", they are supposed to look up/slightly towards you, you adjusted them to face totally towards you, that is because the reach lenght of this bike is a little too big for you. You should have bought the M size! If you are 1,73 m you better fit the M size bike. I am 1,78 and I have also considered the M size bike but I think it is a little small for me... cheers...

Vou comprar uma destas para o mes que vem , tenho 1.80m e 109kg , qual o tamanho achas que devo comprar ? Ja agora que tamanho é a tua, e qual a tua altura?
@OTGFilms_5 жыл бұрын

@@OTGFilms_ that is because dumpness of the rider not because of the bike pushed to the limits...it would happened on any bike
@OTGFilms_5 жыл бұрын
Yes it would I didn't say it was the bike's fault, i just described what happened when the bike fell, hence to the limit because something broke,so the limit of the derailleur hanger was reached but yes it would happen on most bikes given the sheer massive impact of the derailleur hitting the ground. Hopefully you understand now why I said to the limit.

Bom dia! Qual é a diferença entre esta e o modelo 530? Podia esclarecer por favor? A diferença é só 30€
@OTGFilms_5 жыл бұрын

Hi buddy, I am going to buy 520 but how to choose the right size? I am about 180cm/100kg. I tried "L" it was ok, then "XL" but with XL it was hard to make turns. With XL, when I look in the mirror It looks just my size (but I can't make turns, strange?!?), when I try "L" and look in the mirror It looks very small bike for my size, it looks funny (but I feel L very comfortable...) What is your size (bike) and your hight and weight?
@OTGFilms_5 жыл бұрын
Hello there, according to decathlon's website L : 1M75-1M84 XL : 1M84-1M95, I think you should go with L your height is in the L range and if you felt more confortable on it , you should go for it. In any case keep in mind that the larger model will be slightly better if you do really long trips because it will give you a more upright position but will probably be much worse in sharp turns. For comparison I have the L model my height/weight is about 173cm/75kg but weight is really not as important as the height because both models are rated up to 120kg, and I feel the bike is very agile and nimble. At the end of the day, If I had your decision I would go for the L model for most situations unless I went in really long trips regularly, which in that case I would go for the XL. Hope I could help and let me know if you want me to make more videos on the bike.
@mo-ni5 жыл бұрын
@@OTGFilms_ Thanks, exactly, with XL it was very hard to make sharp turns when I tested the bikes in Decathlon. 20-30km once a month will be the longest trip for me, regularly-10-15km I think this is small distances.
@OTGFilms_5 жыл бұрын
@@mo-ni Yes you are right they are relatively small so you should probably go for the L model.
