A humbling and distinct pleasure to hear a great craftsman, and true poet, read another great poet's work. Man . . they broke the mold when they made Chef Jacques!

A moving insight into a great man and his heart. An absolute treasure. An inspiration who is approachable like a dear friend. No one in this field, or almost any other, has motivated and taught more people better than he. And, excellent as his cooking lessons are, he long ago transcended recipes. Thanks for helping me love to cook, and for your big, kind heart.

Jacques Pe'pin is my absolute favorite chef. I am so fascinated by his cooking talents and I love to watch him cook anything! Thank you for sharing your poem. I find the French language the most beautiful to listen to.....poetic in sound! Thank you for bringing your talents to America.

He’s such a classy guy. I’ve watched him for years. I still watch the series he did with Julia Child. Classic!

The sight and time of Chef Pepin's life molded him into the special person we now see, but those same circumstance have molded others to not be as positive as he is, as he is seen by all of us. What a good guy we are lucky to have known even if through his videos only. Thank you, Chef Pepin!

I used to love watching Jacques Pépin when I lived in the U.S. And my favorite poem at the lycée when I was a teen in France was the Dormeur du Val too.

Beautiful yet sad poem and like Mr. Pepin says, it can be applied to our day and age. I love watching Mrs. Child and Mr. Pepin working together.

If the poem had not been translated to English, the poem would have been as beautiful and tragic. To hear it in French brings it to a whole new level. A beautiful language! Jacques is an awesome human being. He brings joy to whatever he does, cooking or painting or reading poetry. A gift of a man.
