I don't think I've ever seen a movie with such a silly premise, played mostly straight, and yet managing to be spooky, funny, heartfelt, and touching all at once. A masterpiece, from start to finish.

It is! If it had been a big budget movie (with a license for the songs) like Walk the Line Bruce would have gotten Oscar for his Elvis portrayal for sure. I'm pretty sure Bruce can sing Burnin' Love better than Woody as well. Severly underrated actor, should have been a great star.

Saw this flick ages ago. Had forgotten all about it. Then, 5 minutes ago I came upon mention of it while reading a story about all of the actor who portrayed Elvis. Saw Bruce Campbell's name, and it all came flooding back. What a great movie. Pure camp, played straight up. Wonderful!

Saw this years ago and just recorded it again last nigh. It's a sucky rainy day and I'm home sick with a sore throat but it's a PERFECT day when you get to curl up on the couch in front of the first fire of the year watching this. Movie. HERE. I havent thought about this movie in like 20 years, until i saw the trailer for Agent Elvis. Lol i remember at the end credits it said there was going to be a sequel it said "elvis will return" and something about vampires, but sadly it didnt happen. One of the great things about the dvd is Bruce does one commentary as himself, and another one as Elvis thays really worth liatening to.

Im about to watch this. I had seen the poster for it many times but looking for something at the time. It just now clicked in my damaged brain BUBBA HO-TEP. Then whin i realized what it said i slammed on the brakes and read about it. Saw Bruce Campbells name and thats really all i needed. I honestly wonder if he is as good an actor as he comes across or if hes really and truly a loveable dip shit that doesnt take himself or the business hes in too seriously. Either way i love the guy. Id really like to believe he hasnt a clue and doesnt care. Few play it straight as well as he can. I know i dont ever want to play him in poker. Thank you fellow freaks who gave these comments. Sadly for you it seems we are a lot alike. Get help people. Save yourselves. Its too late for me.

I dont know what sites are streaming this show. If you cant find it lemme know. Ive got a site that is great. Had it less than 2 months and filled up 2- 250? Gb sd cards working on the third and the storage on my phone is full. Metro pcs is pissed from my data useage. By the 10th i had used 160 gb of data.

@@davidreynolds4684 thanks, I got this film in a charity shop for 20p. I have rediscovered the joy of DVDs in the last year. Had never seen a Bruce film, nor do I consider myself a fan of horror films - and was especially dubious about a horror/comedy/fantasy mashup. This film was pure entertainment though and as many point out it is largely down to Bruce's playing-it-straight style. Glad you enjoyed it too.

@@jR-bk8wu i dont do horror movies. If its not a comedy ive got very little use for it but Bruce has a way of making any genre of movie or tv show enjoyable. I think he does the B movie thing because hes comfortable. He works non stop. I caught a you tube video about him being king of the B movies. Hes got quite a cult following. I first really started noticing him in mchales navy then in burn notice. The casting of burn notice was awesome. They hàd a great chemistry on screen.
