My interpretation is that there is no new self or old self but rather one current self and a potential self. The current self is him robbing the couple and the potential self is him excelling in the business world. I think the film is called bubble because sometimes we get caught up in a vicious cycle in our own lives or a bubble and forget that there's a whole world out there full of opportunities. The potential self scenes show that the man could have lived a different life, one in which the guy he was robbing could have been a great friend and business partner but he made the wrong choices. The film teaches us that YOU are the commander of your own ship you can be whoever you want to be.

My interpretation: the office presentation came in a lifetime after the knife robbery i.e. reincarnation. It shows that humility is needed before any of us can attain peace.

What i understood is, while doing good (Interview) or Bad (Crime) we are in anxiety on both the situation. At the end if you go with the good thing you will have success and if you go with the bad thing you will be in problem. (Simple understanding)

Nah I think the guy with the knife is the New self, the guy giving the well received presentation is his OLD self, he's a changed man. Something has happened in his life that's done that to him. They started off as general flashbacks, but when he was dying it was him flashbacking his life.

I think that the maker of this movie has captured the emotions of two person while they take life changing decision. The hesitation before business meeting and before robbing are similar. Similarly the tears signifies the inherent fear in both situation. the smile at the end show peace after they met the end...

I believe it's concept is of "success" in collision with "accomplishment"... vanity is in question at so many avenues of our lives and one can wonder, "did I make it"?... the applause.... does it really matter?.... the smiles the ups and downs slips and falls on my tears..... and those alike... the pain.... i get back applause and continue.... the concept of the knife.... he only held the knife out and her immediate reaction was to hand him money.... the tear from his eye was that of.... what can this money do for me at this point.... the video implied success ....by his presentation.... it's not enough becuz success really takes losing yourself.... hence the tear and smile when he was shot.... that was "real".... in life there is a lot of competition.... win or lose,,,, who really wins? they seem to be all collegians ...but are they really friends?.... class and status plays a part in this i believe... was this man fired?....did he quit?.... i would hash tag this #FreedomIsDeath

What I take out of it is that life is about choices, there are no such things as shortcuts in life.. You see him in the movie, the present "thug" version leaning against the tree as well as the potential him, waiting to do his presentation being nervous and in fear of rejection.. Though he has to do it because he chose to and so all he wants is to get it over with.. At the end the guy giving the presentation is releaved because he is set free of his fear and insecurity as well as the present "thug" version of him. He sees what he could have been and realises there are no such things as shortcuts in life but is releaved that the bubble he lived in pops, even if it came along with his death :) correct me if I'm wrong but I had goosebumbs anyway All feed back is welcome ofc :)

There is definitely many great qualities to this film in my opinion. The cinemetography is excellent, the music is right on, the pacing is perfect. I would like to know why he's doing what he's doing. Where did some of you find the description? Also, what award did this win? Just curious not questioning why. It deserves something. It's well done.

Too much contrast takes away from the film. You don't want it to look like a commercial. Remember to ZOOM IN when you're shooting. Always ZOOM IN, never make close-ups when recording. It will look like a school project. Camera angle, motion, and lighting is EVERYTHING. Especially if you're holding a low budget camera.

If I'm not mistaken, they are the same man, but not at separate times. Hear me out: The video is a representation of a man who had great aspirations, but was troubled by a very hard life that pushed him down a path he didn't want. This is why they look so similar, with the key differences in dress and that one is clean shaven. They also both hesitated before they're big moment, and they both shed a tear from their right eye under the stress, as well as both having the same smile in the end.

+Victor Morales A DSLR with video capabilities and the highest size of memory card you can find! Preferably 64 GB. The longer you want to make the film, the more memory you will need on a memory card. If you have a lot of money to burn, you can get a professional digital movie camera, which costs thousands of dollars. LOL

The movie begins real time with the bubble falling: indicating the true timeline we are following is the robbery. As the bubble falls, so does this criminal. As he passes, he is having a dream like sequence of serenity and prosperity. The people that appear in this "vision" as he falls are all the people involved IN the robbery. (The girlfriend is the secretary, the boyfriend is a member of the board as well as the man who shoots him) We then rewind to him beginning the robbery as a nice Quintin Tarentino esque switch in the traditional chronological order. it's an incredible tale

Well done! Any discussion would likely be an abstraction as well: all things are transitory, free will, self-absorption - to mention a few of the thoughts your work brings to mind. Thank you for the courage to avoid the comfortable trap of constant conclusory resolution. Nothing in my life turns out perfectly resolved. It is good to see this reflected in art. (I might add that only in art can resolution ever be perfect!)

Deonte Anderson So that would mean his life story is analogous to how the bubble falls? So metaphorically he lives his life like a bubble that starts from the very top, lives through the transition period and finally falls and explodes in the end.... Would appreciate an answer.

This brilliant little film is simply exposing the sheer desperation of joblessness in a capitalistic world and what it can drive people to do. Life hangs on a thread. One day you have a job, and the next day the bubble bursts and you don't. The job is survival. With no means of survival, death can tragically seems preferable, as shown in his peaceful smile at the end, when he is released from earthly hardship.

In my opinion the candidate and the robber are the same people. Either in alternate universes or they were both standing by the tree deciding at one point. If that makes sense. This was great but I would've liked more speaking in it. I understand the use of silence and music as impact however.

There wasn't really a pronounced/immediately understood story/message and instead relied on the prolonged suspense to keep the audiences' attention which began to wear. Some of the shots could have greatly benefited from stabilisation/smoother panning like the scenes in the office, which would have nicely correlated with the sharper/more commercial appearance of business. Still I watched till the end and was better than I could have done.

Hakuna matata The fact that you have the power to steer the course of your own life. In an alternate universe, the young man excelled in the business world and became partners with the two other men. In another, he was killed trying to rob them. It's thought-provoking because "sometimes us, Humans, get caught up in a vicious cycle in our own lives or a 'Bubble' and forget that there's a whole world out there full of opportunities." It all depends on the choices we make.

I have to critique the acting. Particularly during the scene where he is holding them up in the field. It was too, faked I guess. the camera work and scene progression was too open. This scene needed more emotion and aggression as if a true robbery were taking place. However other than that portion, the cinematography was VERY well done. And the progression of the plot moved nicely it. The bubble at the end was also a beautiful finishing touch. Well done :)
