Im probably one of the few that really likes BG Crash. I only got to see BGC 2032 in around the late 90s and i knew nothing about it or how it was effectively cancelled at the end. When i watched the last episode of 2032 i was quite sad that it never got a proper ending. I was blown away to find out (a few years later) that Crash even existed. Think about any series you really liked that was done and dusted, and then finding out a few more episodes were made, thats how i felt and watching Crash made me so happy to see them back. Im sure at the time it was released, it might have been seen as disappointing but to me it was like finding a lost treasure.

I didn't feel it was a disappointment, but since it was episodic anyway the 8 OVAs. But I'm also glad that the OVA had found a fitting end in the form of Bubblegum Crash from 1991. The TV anime from 1997/1998, on the other hand, has disappointed me badly as a fan of the original anime OVA.

You are right on track. AD police files supposedly takes place 5 years before BG Crisis 2032, then Crash 2033 comes a year later into the series. I'm not sure what else is out there within this time line although I should mention Parasite Dolls falls somewhere in another branch of the AD police and well the revised BG Crisis 2040 which I enjoyed but didn't come close to the original 2032.

(The 80s was a hell of a decade for music and anime.) Because Hollywood movies have not yet developed computer generated imagery. Only in Japanese anime, you can see camera view track a bullet exiting a gun barrel, travel through the air, and eventually entering a target.

If you go step by step, on your own two legs, without stopping, before everything your arms touch transforms into phantasms, you can approach those dreams. Now begins the unending dream, while you search for yourself, sleeping in the depths of your heart. Now begins the unending journey. Fix your sights on a faraway time. People all conceal more loneliness in their hearts than they can hold with both hands, and run as their hearts desire from yesterday to tomorrow, like the way the wind drifts along. Now begins the unending tomorrow. Dreams are an ever-playing harmony within your heart. Now begins the unending journey. Fix your sights on a faraway sky.

I still haven't seen all of crash because I heard it ends the series. When Scoop Chase, unintentionally or maybe meant to be, turned out perhaps the sweetest send off one could ask for. I cry every time I hear Chase the Dream fading in and that absolutely perfect scene, if you're ever watching it with others, look at their faces. Smiles on every one of them I promise you.
@Tython827 жыл бұрын
Here's the story, basically Crisis was originally supposed to be about 13 episodes but after Episode 8 the studios involved Artmic and Yomex got into a dispute and thus the series ended the way it did. Crash was a result of Artmic going ahead and using what many fans think are the remnants of the scripts from the missing 5 episodes and made Crash, Yomex and Artmic once again fought over the rights since Yomex techincally owned the rights to the series, then the rights and Yomex were bought by AIC which had a hand in creating Bubblegum Crisis 2040

It was an un-approved continuation of Crisis. Legal problems concerning ownership of the series led to it being stuck at 3 episodes. Amazing how the original voice actors returned for it, as that is one of its few saving graces. While entertaining, it just comes across as trite and cliche with the change to the KS into typical 80's heroes with the copy/pasted "gear up" scene (good as it was) and even their own freaking jet fighter (think the set up for SWAT Kats or something similar).
