storyboard thumbnail, pose sketches, plan plan plan. as someone who animates for a hobby, loves magical girls, and was involved with making a popular fanmade sailor moon henshin. plan your movements. trust me its best to have a plan than animating entirely blind. that way if you ever get burned out or need a break you can come back with some sketches to reinspire you.

What if you want to add extra things such as wings 🪽 or horns and different type of ears and a tail? Also I love your character, she’s so cute 🥰

you kinda have to base your henshin around those features. theres some anime like Tokyo Mew Mew and Precure that feature wings and horns, and even sailor moon's Moon Crystal Power and Moon Eternal feature wings. you can also find inspiration within dancing like Ballet Swan Lake ie uses their arm movements to simulate the movement of wings and you can use that as a movement it show the actual literal wings forming. Or some ballet and dances use wings or wing oike capes for wings. just look for magical girls with wings. horns you could use sailor moon as inspiration cus she has hair ornaments on her head and you can see how they're formed (usually a flash of light) Mami Tomoe of Madoka Magica also has a hair or ament you could use as a reference. but yea all and all you have to plan your henshin around the character design and their features.

Bubblegum Cartoons i already wrote three colorcon transfromations: Celina Prism/Colorcon Rainbow, Ruby Flame/Colorcon Red,and Ona tangerine/ Colorcon Orange. now I'm about to write Yolanda Sunflower's transformation to Colorcon Yellow. she's the princess of the kingdom of yelloway, Yolanda is a yellow sprite so her people are basically the celebrities and entertainers of Rainbowtopia. As the youngest sprite princess at 14 years old, she's immature, silly, and has a huge appetite while the other princesses more mature, skilled, are ages 15-17,and are focused on their mission.She is the comic relief of the team so she's inspired by pinkie pie except she's yellow not pink. Yolanda is also inspired by my good friend Lauren Gross, she's cute,friendly and perky.she's also the shortest of the team,and has down syndrome which lets people mistake her for a preteen when she's really a teenager. Yolonda makes people happy wherever she goes. she's very ditzy but also very kind.
