I've recently been building a web app on Bubble with the idea that it would be a mobile app in the future. I wasn't able to think about the mobile app since it's a different animal altogether. Is there anything in place that would allow the web app to be implemented into a mobile app in Bubble? Or would this be a complete new build from scratch?

Great question! Short answer: no, you won't need to start a new build completely from scratch. You can build a mobile and/or web app within the same project. Meaning they can easily share the same styles, data, & logic. Mobile builds will offer special design choices to implement native mobile functionality (i.e. gestures). So, in the end, you may find you'd prefer to rebuild a lot of the UI for mobile pages to get that native mobile look/feel right out of the box. But you can build upon the foundations you already have within your existing web app project. No need to create a brand new project (unless you want to)!

Do you think the rollout to waitlisters will be small increments or will it rollout to everyone after a period of time? I know this might be impossible to answer since it might change week to week, but have to ask 😅.

Does the offline functionality support creating and updating content and then syncing with the database when the user is online?

I asked this specific question as soon as they announced they were finally going to move in this direction, and they told me yes. I hope that’s true.

That's correct. Data will be save to local storage and then the DB when online again.

A very promising platform. I just stumbled upon this video and Bubble may just be what my team and I need for our project. Can it be used to create a training app for competition shooters which: takes an image of of a paper-target, recognizes the bullet impact points (/holes), calculates and stores the group size and shooters score?

if you integrate with AI image recognition then yes. You'll need to think about the cost of such services and current accuracy

@@nicepojos8766 you'll have to use API integration. You pick an image recognition provider that allows you to connect through API. Then you'll have to set up API calls within Bubble that will allow you to send and receive data from and to Bubble. So essentially, you can enable your users to upload the image of the paper-target, then through API calls that you've set up that image will be sent to the image recognition provider, and based on the instructions you've provided, e.g. "identify the bullet impact points" the system can then generate a response that is sent back to your app, which then you can use as you please. This is overly simplified explanation. You'll also have to think about the workload usage of your app and if it's going to be feasible.
