That is neat and so glad you made this video! I will leave out the white bits when I make my eyes though. The shiny of the resin naturally makes its own highlights based on the light in the room. - Heidi

I want to make eyeballs, not just button eyes. How would you suggest going about this? Also was curious why you didn't do a clear layer first for the cornea?

These looks great! I suggest you get some disposable pipettes they are at most craft stores. it would make adding the resin to the mold easier and better control.

O thank you I'll have to look into that :)

Very cool! Have you seen the ways of casting eyes for BJD, where the master piece is a half circle with a small indentation for the iris and pupil?
@bubblyleafcreations5 жыл бұрын
No I haven't seen that yet, I'll have to check it out and see if theirs any videos on it. I have used BJD eyes before though, and love using the glass blown ones.

Could you add wire loops to the backs to make sew in eyes? I’m working on some projects where I need 5mm eyes, I do buy the little glass loop backed ones but it would be really convenient if I had the option of making them too.
@bubblyleafcreations4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you could, you would probable just want to wait for the resin to get kind of hard but not to hard and then you can push the wire into the back. If you don't let it harden a little it could sink down to the front of the eye.

How do you add a post screw ti make them sFety eye
@CockatielPony5 жыл бұрын
Are the eyes squishy or are they more hard like marbles such as the ones you can get at the story?
@bubblyleafcreations5 жыл бұрын
They are hard like a plastic, so a lot like ones you can buy in stores.

But how do you add the screw to adhear it to a project ?
@bubblyleafcreations3 жыл бұрын
I don't tend to use the screws but I think the best way to add them would be to wait till the resin has almost cured and then stick them onto the back. The resin should be still very sticky but hard enough so the screw doesnt sink into the eye. If you'd rather let them fully cure you could put a dot of extra resin on the back and use that kind of like glue and push the screw into place on the dot of resin.

Actually some induststrial resins cure in 10-20 minutes when mixed
@bubblyleafcreations5 жыл бұрын
O cool. I know the brand I work with has a different kind that cures in about that same time but it hardens white. Is it kind of like that?
@voodoocosplay54135 жыл бұрын
BubblyLeaf yes. And sometimes it cures while pouring lol 😂
