My friend went through this experience. They used to be very expressive and open when they were little, but there dad yelled at them to stop doing it so many times. Now they have no reaction to anything they don’t smile. When you ask them a question they show no reaction, they just say “okay..” awkwardly, there broken to the point where they can’t even cry, they have smiled around friends before and laughed but not often.. you can never tell if there happy or sad, or if she’s feeling any emotion- So I decided that it is my duty to help them to make them happy again. To help them be who they are.

Omg I am so sorry but my friend is the same as yours her parents are separated and her mother even has a protective degree against her father so she can't see her father she Told me the bad news one day and she says the only thing that makes her happy is me and I'm a really important part of her life and I promised I would always be there for her and she only smiles when I'm by her and only laughs when I'm by her in so glad to be such an important role in her life.😭😭😀😊

@@shaisuni7541 I feel you, parents often contradict themselves… My father used to believe that my mental illness’ were faked, or simply that the therapist was wrong because I was always smiling so ,surely it wasn’t the truth, I heard him say that and it hurt, so, I stoped, I stoped smiling and holding back my tears, my dad was an extremely busy person so my sister and mom were the first to see it, my mom was pissed because she pieced things together…. Needless to say my dad got an earful, and began to acknowledge my issues…. I hope you have fun and that the rest of your life is as enjoyable as possible! Please be yourself and do what you want to!
