Played the first one as a kid, I think my brother and I finally beat it after a dedicated weekend. Never knew the second game existed until Woolies Strike Back was released and there was a bundle deal for that and the Two-Fur. Anyways, you know a runner's good when they make a game look easy. Good show!

I was so confused by the ending (or lack thereof) as a kid that I kept playing and replaying trying to find the "real" ending. I eventually, inevitably, gave up and put in the cheat code to access the minigame menu, which was the only thing keeping it from being a wasted repeat rental. PAW-some run! 8DDDD Bubsy approves ok

the only thing I can think about is that GarbanzCurity has Gomer Pyle's voice. Also the teleporters in this game are not linear, so he's actually doing a really good job avoiding all the fake-out ones and so on.

Oh it's definitely not the worst game I've seen but the level design just looks super confusing and it kinda just looks a mess. Doesn't look too enjoyable to me but I've seen worse. I did however always play the first Bubsy when I was younger, round my cousin's house...I absolutely loved playing it back then.

Road Runner death valley rally was worse for me,tho probably people barely even know that there was a looney toon cartoon called road runner nor even heard about the game or even guessed that there is games for the snes,nes about that cartoon.

Idgaf this was a great game when I was growing up...I only had a hand full of games that may be why but still super fun! I had bubsy 2,Sonic 1,2,Sonic spin ball,vectoan 1,2, and marsupialami!!! Good times good times!!!!

I had the first Bubsy as a kid and I thought it was pretty good. Though that was really due to ignorance of better games since it was one of the first titles I owned and I've gone back and played it as an adult and it is clearly not a good game. But this actually looks worse. The music was one of the few things the first game got right but the music in this game is terrible. Plus there are all these signs that the game was rushed with the ending consisting of existing sprite animations and there being no real bosses until the end of the game. It also seems to be missing some of the goofy humour that the first game had. The first game isn't funny from an adult perspective but it has a certain charm that appeals to a kid's sense of humour. This in comparison looks like a generic Amiga platformer with the Bubsy sprite thrown in. I also don't see any sense of speed which was the big hook of Bubsy, particularly on the SNES where there was demand for a Sonic clone. If I had played this game back in the day I have a feeling I would have found it very disappointing.

I rented this for Super Nintendo a long time ago. It really has no purpose. Making the themed zones' stages separate from each other ruins any scrap of immersion it might have achieved. I couldn't beat enough levels in one go to realize that it had THIS little purpose, though. I am impressed that people can keep up the interest to finish it, especially on the crummier genesis hardware.

@FuturePants I've played Bubsy 1, II, & 3D and I can say with confidence that I would rather play through all of Bubsy 3D again than have to look at Bubsy II again. Bubsy II is as horribly broken and bad as people make it out to be.

Bubsy 1 is decent. Yeah, Bubsy 2 (and the Jaguar title) are a mess. I actually love Bubsy 3D, consider it the best in the franchise, and think it's actually better than 99% of 5th gen platformers. The only thing with it is that controls take a bit to get used to. The 2017 game was also fun and Paws on Fire (the runner game) was mediocre.

This game is not awful at all not great but definitely not awful, it's actually a good non violent challenging game for kids. Bubsy 3D now that game is one of the worst ever, that should be in Awful block
