German shepherd wasn't afraid at all. He is standing his ground in Bubzee's territory without his owner. He didn't run away he went where the female went. In such situations, leaving your dog would be fatal for both your as well as the other dog. Even though Rottweiler is strong, street dogs are better in terms of fighting techniques, stamina etc.

I know their behaviour, have spent a lot of time protecting my dogs from strays and vice versa. I know what submissive behaviour means. A dog submits when his/her tail is down and it tries to escape.
