I'm a lifelong Lions fan. I've followed Matthew Stafford's career very closely and today I believe he played the biggest game of his career. He was outstanding. He threw the ball for 343 yards, only got sacked once and threw four TD passes. I've never seen him look any better than he looked today.

Randy - Life long Lion's fan here, and I'm really happy for Matt and now I'm a Ram's fan too. The irony of today's game was that our Lion's could have had Aaron Donald on our defense WHILE we still had Stafford, but our Lion's "brain trust" passed on him for a tight end that isn't even on the team anymore. I think it's a little early for that talk. Stafford had strings of really good games in Detroit too. Plus, they've beaten Chicago and Indianapolis....not great teams....and Tampa Bay is not the superbowl team contrary to what people say. They've got to get that pass defense fixed or Tampa Bay could lose 6 or 7 games this season. Can't expect the offense to put up 36 points every game to win. They almost lost to Dallas (a mediocre team in the worst division), they beat winless Atlanta(much closer than the score showed)....and failed to stop the Rams on just about every drive they had....That secondary is pathetic and may even cost TB a playoff shot this year...it's that bad.

I 100% agree Stafford trade was a smart great move for the Rams. Goff was never a proven commodity in my opinion while Stafford on the other hand has plenty of tape showing off his potential. Tough to shine in Detroit when you have a lackluster squad built around you, glad to see Stafford around some weapons. I just wish I drafted Cooper Kupp over Woods.

Stafford has always been an Elite QB. We Lions fans have always known this. The only reason you didn't know that before was because he played for the Lions. Unfortunately, the Lions have always been so bad that even an Elite QB couldn't elevate them past an 11-5 wildcard spot and a first round playoff loss.

You got that wrong. Stafford has always been this good. He's always "used his talent." This is the first time he's played on a team that is worthy of his talent though. In Detroit, those teams were downright atrocious around him, outside of a few players. He's NEVER had a team in Detroit that is as complete as the L.A. Rams are. Brady did all he could as a QB. He played Phenomenal, the offense line played alright but dropped a few crucial passes. The defense needs work though badly. There are a few exploits that every team could use against them. It's not over for them yet... It's generally week 5 or 6 when teams get usually established anyway.
