you need to be listening for it, but its definitely there. Any note above double g can just sometimes decide it doesn't want to speak for whatever reason. I've played some weak Ab's that were followed up by some meaty double A's, sometimes the harmonic series just wants to work against you no matter how good you are

Theres an 8va which means play the pitch shown an octave up
