Another fascinating and well presented video Philip. I was in Bucharest in 2018 as part of a drive from Cluj area, through Transylvania including a drive along the Transfagarasan, which is an absolute must if you haven’t yet dine it! We spent an afternoon at the Village Museum, what a fascinating place. It was also in August, but with 38 degree heat we didn’t get to explore all of it. I agree it’s an underrated city to visit, even the Ubers are cheap, although their driving is more frightening than your average roller coaster! Really enjoying these videos.

You’re right about the Ubers - but the great thing about the northern suburbs is that they’re only a short bus ride from the airport as well!

Streets were closed for traffic, pedestrian or otherwise around Ceaușescu house. When I was a teenager I got lost in that neighborhood and a policeman's approached me asking what I'm doing there...I guess they realized I posed no threat for them.They told me which streets to use and leave that area...😅

@TravelInTheKnow You should try Mititei- as appetizer, Bulz or Tochitura as main dish and Papanasi as desert. The restaurant is an old house 130 years old, try to read the story of the house. Aslo, similar old house, one of my favorite desert places in Bucharest is Casa Capsa, is in the downtown, close to old center.
