I came into this video with no idea what this machine was or what it did, I almost feel I could use one now. This is easily one of the best video tutorials I've come across on any subject. Thank you!

This helps a fuck load! The 250e is my most neglected module. Thank you!!!!!

I didn't have a clue what that module did. Your video is amazing, and explains exactly what every function of the module is for. Unfortunately I'm thick, and I still don't have a clue !

+Steven Bassett Thanks Steven. I a couple weeks, I'll be putting another video together. I've been getting a lot of requests for the 251e and the 252e, but I don't have those yet.

This was really well done and very helpful. Why did you stop making these after just this one?

Well now I know what Suzanne Ciani was talking about when she mentioned this in comparison to the MARF. It can serve a similar purpose but in a live performance it might be lacking.

I'm not aware of anything like the 250e in eurorack.

Max Hasser have a look at the er-101 plus expander er-102 from orthogonal devices. One of the most interesting modules in the eurorack format.

Regarding stage addressing: I can't get my 250 to sweep through the full 0-16 steps. Best I can get is 0-14. Can you confirm yours does this?
@trickdigital
@trickdigital 9 жыл бұрын
+ourigin. Yes mine does a full 0-16 stage range - but I’ve noticed some inconsistency, but it could either be from the calibration/precision of the 250e stage addressing itself, or the accuracy of the control voltage applied. For instance, when I first tested - not on the demonstration in the video - I applied from a source CV sweeping from what I thought was 0-10 volts, and the 250e would vary sometimes between a range or 0-14, 0-15 stages - but then later, with no other obvious factors, it would do the full range or 0-16. Perhaps this is due to either the 250e or the module providing the voltage not providing the expected range. I could have tested with a multimeter, but did not - instead I opted to run my source through a 256e CV processor to clamp and massage the source voltage into a range that would give me the 0-16 stage range in the way I expected. This gives me the most reliable result, as I don’t have to concern myself with the zillion other variables that might be affecting things: circuits warming up, small power inconsistencies/flucations, etc. that might be limiting the voltage needed to drive the full stage range.
