Best birthday I ever had was when I turned 18. My friend took us to San Francisco destination Slims Bar. My 18th was also Anticon's 10th year anniversary show. Met Bus Driver inside a tiny convenient store because we asked him if he knew when the show started. Had never seen the faces of most of these guys so didnt realized it was him until he came out on stage. Shook Sage's hand afterwards and just thanked him for his music. My friend, who is an amazing rapper, producer and freestyler(Prime Perf), battled Bus Driver and slam poet Jamie Kennedy, who drove us around in his girlfriends car getting drunk. Dose One dished out some shameless giveways and one of them was an unreleased Anticon Vinyl with 4 songs. We taped recorded the show and you can hear Matt jumping in the air, snatching the vinyl, hitting the ground as a group of fans came down, and as hes getting up he starts yelling my name, Mike! I was about 3 persons back and he hands it to me and says happy birthday brother. Got Bus to sign it for me, Project Blowed! Damn its been 20 years since I discovered the music that I would listen to for the rest of my life. We played that tape 1,000 times. I listened to the vinyl every now and then but it mostly took its place on my wall. One of the best nights of my life, a top five highlight.

It's a gift to the genre. Thank your lucky stars for the Anticon movement. Buck was the artful standout while he was on the label. Legendary rapper/producer. I rocked a bumper sticker for years, how did you pay homage? Uncle Climax ya test tube babies.

Dirtbike 1.2.3. is so hard to find. 29 songs of the only reason I survived the street for like, years. Dloaded it off of the first PB, in the Beginning. Aesop, slug, sonic, Anticon, Sage, Doom, and homeboy sand were my surrogate father. It is emotional to see them dominating the genre right now, being so aged... Means I am also Aged. If I could, I would personally shake their hands, thank them, and walk away.
