Sir.. the duty cycle formula is the same for buck converter and buck to boost converter but in this video the formula is different for duty cycle

The inductor voltage in mode 2 has the same polarity as o/p voltage so Vo is positive

We are using battery in this. With passage of time, battery voltage will decrease. According to formula, output voltage with change with change in input voltage. How can we get a fixed voltage (that can be changes by duty cycle) from an unstable input. i want to use a solar panel in place of battery......will this circuit work in case of unstable input to get a fixed output. please reply......please.......
