Hope Comes From Hearing
________________________________________
Wild Courage is founded on the principle that hope comes from hearing and it takes courage to share. There is great hope that comes from hearing redemption stories. One of the most precious gifts we can offer the world, is our testimony of what God has done in us, and for us.
Nothing is off limits in our very real, and very raw conversations about life and the courageous pursuit of hope. We explore topics that speak to our hearts and our stories. Every episode is marked by authenticity and humility. We guarantee it will be worth the time you invest to listen.
Wild Courage Nights are confidential gatherings of Men around fires with a distinct purpose to share story and to listen to story. To see and be seen. The environment is masculine, safe, and is full of permission and choice. There is no teaching, preaching or advice but there is permission to be as you are, and share your story. The attendees are diverse; believers, non-believers, pastors, neighbors, friends, co-workers, or new acquaintances. All are welcome. Some share more than others, some sit and just listen.
Our retreats are all about guys stories and less about teaching. In wild courage fashion we carve out time for each man to have an hour and half to tell their story to be seen and heard with our no preaching no teaching style of creating an atmosphere of honest vulnerability and safety that creates an environment where hope and redemption can find their way. Keep an eye out for our 2023 schedule.

It’s kind of ironic, and interesting that Buck mentions the book “When God Winks”. Coming from the UK and growing up around traditional hard English riding and the BHS methods and all the rubbish and “tradition “ that goes with that, I was getting increasingly frustrated by it all and searching for a better way. I went into a large bookshop in the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East of England. (I’ve visited with Buck and we had some conversations about his time in Newcastle when he was touring doing roping trucks/shows), and I picked from the shelf and purchased 3 totally random books by people I hadn’t even heard about at that time and no idea who they were or what they taught. Those 3 books were :- 1. True Unity by Tom Dorrance 2. Think Harmony with Horses by Ray Hunt. 3. The Far Away Horses and the story of the real horse whisperer By Buck Brannaman. I think that was God winking at me and started me down a whole different path, which I’m still walking today. Thankfully I got to meet both Buck and Ray several times in the USA and Buck in Australia and New Zealand too where I’m now living. Unfortunately never got to meet Tom, but I had enough to think about anyway…!!😂

God bless you! Yes! You have life's lessons in your hands with those men. The horse will show you your soul. Those books, and the Bible.

Mr. Brannaman came into my life at the perfect time. It was 2011, I was driving my youngest daughter to summer camp at Lake Watcom, WA. Listening to a public radio station on the way home after dropping her off a segment came on talking about BUCK, the documentary being released that week. I knew I had to go see it! A little backstory… I had had a very traumatic year… my father and brother both died and my husband had left me and our daughters. I was barely into my grieving journey and had no idea how to get through it other than survive it. So I found the independent theatre in Seattle where BUCK was playing and took myself to see it that week. I wept throughout the entire film, it was a cathartic experience to say the very least and it changed the trajectory of my life and grieving process. And just like Mr. Brannaman, when the closing song by Eddie Vedder, Breathe played I was absolutely sobbing. I had never heard the song before until that day. I sat there alone in the theatre til everyone was gone. Walking out I knew life was going to be different, but I was going to have to do the work… before the end of that year I was volunteering 5 days a week at an equine therapeutic facility working with disabled children and adults and taking care of 26 horses. Prior to that, I had never been around horses other than a handful of times. The following year I went to Enumclaw for 3 days to sit in as spectator at Mr. Brannaman’s clinic. As much as I was absorbing and learning about horses, I was simultaneously learning more so about myself as a human being, a mother, a daughter and a friend. I cannot THANK this man enough for the impact he has had in my life because it’s an ongoing journey… even though I didn’t get a chance to meet him personally, Buck is a blessing and I am so thankful the Lord brought this whole experience into my life!

I've felt alone and spend most days alone. I do have family. They see me but choose not to hear me. To help me. I'm ready to be with my soul group. Love over flows in spirit world. Families of today don't care to be bothered. It hurts

Thank you for having Buck on and doing such a good interview with him. Especially the portion where you both discussed the need to break through the delusion that self reliance works on all of life’s problems.

I see the white girths Duane also uses. He hates the gel pads. I agree with him. Horse's skin gets irritated by gel pads. I have loved horses and owned my own and worked with them for 50 plus years ❤️

I WAS JUST WONDERING DOES ANY BODY THINK ABOUT THE OLD WONDERFUL COWBOY'S WIFE THAT IS LEFT BEHIND. THEY SPEND A LIFE TIME TOGETHER HE LOVES WHAT HE DOES AND SHE LOVES GOING THRU THAT KIND OF LIFE WITH HIM. THEY ARE NEVER LONELY CAUSE THEY HAVE EACH OTHER AND CAN'T WAIT TO BE WITH EACH OTHER AT THE END OF A WORK DAY. THEN CANCER TAKES HIM AWAY AND EVERYTHING SHE LOVES TO DO IS TAKEN AWAY. SOME OF THE OLD LADIES THAT LOVED A COWBOY FIGHT EVERY DAY TO KEEP GOING WITH OUT THEM AND THE LIFE THEY KNEW.

Buck needs to get together with Duane and go to his ranch dry creek wrangler ranch. They are old school horse trainers and a collaboration with Duane and Buck would be so 🔥 amazing. I'm old school horse woman. Started riding in the 60s and im 60 years old and still riding ❤❤❤❤❤❤
