i remember "Act Naturally" on the jukebox where my Mom waitressed when i was 9 or 10 years old ... then i heard the Carnegie Hall album when i was 13. that was my intro to C&W. i added KEEN 1390 to my choice of stations i listened to. my friends gave me a lot of grief for that but i still liked C&W. it's my favorite kind of music along with Blues and Memphis / Muscle Shoals Soul.

Love the story about writing Together Again. Woke the whole house at 3 in the morning writing it. And his wife left him. It doesn't get more " country" than that. 🤣💕

This is truly great. I miss the days when I would fire up a pot of tea and a fat jay. Then I’d sit back in my easy chair and let those psycho-Billy steel and telecaster licks ship me off on a trip to the moon. Have mercy!

For years a car load of friends would take me 3 hours down Hwy 99 for my Birthday. We would eat Liver and Onions and depending on the fog we would drive back to Elverta laughing and singing all the way...saw so many great artists. And all the suits on display in the hallways. So much fun on the Streets of Bakersfield.

He really is a good looking man. He tried to pick me up one day in Bakersfield. I was at the post office. He said hi pretty women how are you today? I said hi Mr. Owens l am putting mail in the post office for my husband. His white haired body guard was with him and know one else was in the post office that afternoon. I was flattered to say the least.

I grew up listening to Buck Owens. Watched his Buck Owens and the Buckaroos show every Sat. and on Hee Haw. Although I never personally met the man, I'm totally convinced with his personality he projected that he musta been a real pleasure to be around in real life. He was also, and still is my most favorite country western music artist of all time. R.I.P. Buck... I'm looking forward to hearing your music in the afterlife.

He was the first country singer I heard in England, on what is now BBS Radio 2, in the early '60s, and just fell for the sound, and included country in the band I was in, along with Rock 'n' Roll. Before long, our regular bookings wanted more; other venues heard about us, and bookings went through the roof. There's nothing to equal it, and Buck's generation of singers

Gawd..what year is this? Even after the mid sixties prime Buck looks like a mess, ultra doopy chin/glaases etc. maybe drunked/drugged out after Don Rich demise in the early 70's/via the goofy 'Hee haw' series period, Robert at 69.

When he said it was his last concert, he couldn't hide his emotions. An authentic man, a kind man, a man who respects his audience. Yeah, I teared up a bit on the last song. We miss you. Thank you for your music.
