One of my favorite songs and well done! I used to play this song out in nightclubs in South Australia at a much faster tempo back in the 1980's on a modified fender mustang guitar accompanied by an excellent steel guitarist. Miss those days. Appreciate the song. Thanks

Hi Greg, Great playing and arrangement as usual. The Nudie shirts look great! Great opening and later videos of Buck Owens with Don Rich. Don made Buck sound great by backing him on every song. Don was the leader of the Buckaroos. Buck lost a great part of his live show and recording voice when Don was killed in a motorcycle accident.

Thanks, yes I know about Don Rich. If you haven’t heard them, you owe it to yourself to listen to the Cocaine and Rhinestones podcasts on Buck and Don. Fantastic and fascinating!

Great Cajun-style fiddle, remembering the great Don Rich! who of course played lead guitar on the original Buckaroo. Playing in A gives it a good low Dobro sound, distinct from that high Telecaster sound when played in the original key of D.

Greg, you’ve done it again, I I remember that tune well. My son is finally “un-cooling“ himself and playing at home with me. It’s great. You’re lucky to have such musical kids and the calmest picking hands I’ve ever seen. You rock, as always!
