Bucket List (Behind the song) - Kayley Bishop

I was asked by Britni to write a song for Marissa, who is terminal with cancer. That's a tall order for a songwriter like me, who takes those topics very seriously. I sat on the request for a few months, unsure of how to do it justice. Thankfully, God plopped the idea right in my lap. "Bucket List" incorporates Marissa's bucket list that she's been tackling every since she discovered her diagnosis. My talented friend, Autumn McEntire, helped me finish this song and I surprised the two ladies with it a few months later, along with a proposition to fulfill one of Marissa's most impossible bucket list items; to be a mother.
A team of people came together for this sweet adventure.
Thank you, Linda Znacko, for stepping into your call to honor babies who have perished with a name and a proper burial. Further, you saw my vision and with a happy heart, made my request come to life. Bless you!

These are just a few things on my bucket list

Visit all 50 states
Watch my friend play the Opry stage
And Ride a hot air balloon
