Deep sea fishing is so fun!!! Glad you all could have that experience! I was able to go deep sea fishing in Alaska! I caught a Sliver salmon and a pink salmon and rockfish. My husband caught some of the same fish and a Lingcod that weight 20 lbs. 🌸

My husband and i went deep sea fishing in the keys before we got married. He caught a 24 in grouper and the locals told us told us to take it to a restaurant that cooked it up for our dinner!!! So fresh and delicious. We got a conch also, but they told us we had to put it back.

I’ve been deep sea fishing twice in Florida and on both trips no one had life jackets on -with tons of people on the boat -so they should be fine

You probably aren’t aware of this if you’re not a boat owner or have a boat license, but at any point in time, police can stop you on the open water and check to make sure that you are up to code. Part of that includes having enough life vests on board for every human body on board. There are also things like permits and licenses and insurance that you’re required to keep. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Different areas have different regulations. I invite you to look up the regulations in your area so you can become more familiar with this and that might clear some of your questions or concerns. Have a great day!
