Aizen really is the best villain out there. Cold, sociopath, calculated, doesn't talk much spilling all his plans like most stupid villains do and his power is basically unbreakable illusion. And he never needed a Bankai either. So his power is absolutely insane. The stuff about him planning Ichigo's birth just shows that Kubo was trolling with that sh* or otherwise, that Aizen is probably his favorite character of the series. 😂

Fullbring and TYBW have some dope moments, but Fullbring lacked relevance in the story as a whole, and TYBW lacked proper buildup to really sell it as the final arc of the series. Aizen had been present for 3/4s of the manga by his defeat and rigged everything from the start, he felt like an end of series boss.

It's been so long I don't even remember for certain, but didn't Aizen get defeated only because he had an internal, subconcious wish to be more equal with everyone else (meaning a lesser person) so he would no longer need to be so isolated at the top. Like, the MC didn't even really beat him at his strongest, Aizen went into the world editor and nerfed himself down to Ichigo's level.
