My god, that intro after all these years is still as incredible as it was back then. Unreal...
@Illumentra5 жыл бұрын
To me this is the ultimate Buckethead song. It has just about everything he has to offer packed into this one piece. Calm and emotional like in the intro. He's a riff master with super heavy ones and lighter catchy ones. Those leads like in the chorus section that has that note progression signature to Buckethead. Amazing guitar solos, mind melting shredding and also with his invented nubbing technique that sounds like some sort of computer machine. And in the end it comes full circle. Get to know the sound of Buckethead in 10 minutes this is the song.
@elch1cken9352 ай бұрын
I just thought exactly this the other day, they maybe arent his best solo/riff/arpeggios etc but its the best example of all his techniques and sounds into one single piece, this is definitely the song i would play to a new bucky listener for the first time

there are lots of great Virtuoso's out there like Satriani, Vai, Hendrix, Paul Gilbert etc..but IMO nobody can write a song as good as Buckethead...NOBODY!!!
@wadewilson49983 жыл бұрын
i think its a more a matter of how they write. no two guitarists are the same, i mean paul gilbert taught buckethead and yet their playing styles are completely different. same goes with satch and vai. yngwie malmsteen is probably one of the only guitarists on earth who can shred at the same speed as buckethead, and he plays a lot of neoclassical whereas buckethead can play a huge variety of genres and even picking styles. its all in the eye of the beholder but i agree that buckethead is one of the best out there

This song is so incredible, it's worth it just to sit there an think of some sort of epic story to go along with this music. This is just one of a few of Buckethead's songs that have influenced me as much as they have. I think Buckethead deserves far, far more credit than he is given. I own several of his albums now, and I still want to get more. Lurker at the Threshold is a phenominal way to the inspired. Friends I've showed this to have all just been left speechless. This is a great song to show to people who want to know about Bucket. It's got everything he's about pretty much, emotional stuff to start out with, then hardcore drop-tuned metal riffs, then melodic genius riffs, then guitar virtuoso shredding, it's even got some crazy finger nubbing in there for good measure.
