@Thomas Grey So your argument is that they "are" mainstream because they sold millions of records? That's not an accurate metric imo. First, no one would be happier than me if true talent was better appreciated by today's music audience. But it mostly isn't. When you're talking about an audience that now numbers in the billions, 10 million albums over about 40 years doesn't make Joe a superstar. It isn't peanuts, and I do love him and Eric I just don't agree with the notion that album sales determine who's famous or more appreciated by the masses.

@11:33 'Sail on Soothsayer (In Memory of Aunt Susie 1932-2007)' is a different song. It's the last track on 2007's Decoding The Tomb of Bansheebot & it's a beautifully played song. As others have mentioned there's also 'Aunt Suzie' from 2007's Cyborg Slunks. I know people keep saying he's released over 300 albums, but the Pikes are really just EP's, not full length LP's. Taking that into consideration & just looking at the Pikes alone, which presently number 275, I half that number to make 137.5 full lengths, which is still very impressive. Buckethead is the most prolific artist of our time, even moreso than Frank Zappa. Thanks for doing a Buckethead song, he's special & his creativity is off the charts.
